  • Ted plays Autumn Leaves at the Guitar Institute June 1993. The amazing thing is that this is a improvisation from a student request to contrast both Jazz style and the style of Bach over a chord progression...simply amazing..for more / tedgreenearchives

    I always enjoy Ted's reaction from the audience at the end of a song. He betrays a certain sense of shyness or humility, not quite sure which and not sure it even matters. I've always felt that Ted never realized what a talented guitarist he truly is, which makes him that much more attractive. Rest in peace Ted, we love you...

      From what I've read about him, he had a magnificent obsession. He knew what he wanted to hear and was never quite satisfied with what he produced. He loved it when other people liked what he did.

    This man changed my life, and we've never met. He can create the most astonishingly beautiful and complex harmonies. I have never seen anyone like him. His two great books, Chord Chemistry and Modern Chord Progressions are whole-life learning experiences for any player who wants to uncover what this instrument can really do.

    • @juancpgo
      @juancpgo 4 года назад +8

      I think he loved to learn.. he devoured the guitar all his life. But to become popular you have sacrifice some of that and be on the road all the time, and end up doing a lot of things that are unrelated to the music itself. Becoming widely known is a science of its own which is disconnected from music. So, Ted loved guitar more than fame.
