- When I did my dollar tree dinner shopping, there were so many cool things there especially the spices. I was very very impressed with the spices so I had to do another dollar tree shopping and this time. Izzy asked please please wait for me so I did.
Not only did we get my son Brendon valentine, decorations for the youth valentine dinner fundraiser for them to go to a retreat, but Izzy was able to make cute little baskets for her friends and she picked up stuff to make a basket for her brother Noah, who just needed a little pick me up. Sometimes life just gets super tough and hard and I thought it was so sweet that Izzy noticed that he could just use a Little cheering up.
After we got the Valentine stuff, it was time to do the grocery shopping. I picked up so many cool spices, like I said before and other items for dinner and snacks just a treat my kids. Izzy wants to go back and do another haul but it’s a mini dollar tree shopping trip with her friend Brylee. I know I’m not gonna be able to keep a straight face. I’m probably gonna laugh the entire time, but we’re gonna do it. I think I’m gonna give them so much money and they can’t go over that to grab all the little mini things.
I’m really loving my dollar tree dinners stay tune for my next one where I’m just not sure I’m gonna do. I have two options and both of them sound great. I ran them by my husband and my kids and they’re both excited about each of them, I got to pick up my game to make dinner better than the stirfry. But we figured out a solution for that and I’m going to try it again with all the recommendations from you and from my friends That are wonderful cooks and give me lots of tips.

I love watching you shop with your kids, because it reminds me of me and my 2 sons and our shopping trips. They’re 38 and 39 and I STILL love shopping for them and with them. My older son just bought another home, and we went shopping for appliances and all the things. I’m so thankful my boys still love hanging out with me and their dad. The cleaning aisle where you saw the mop holder, grab the white fan cleaner. It’s amazing!!!! Works great on tall corners and high places in the house.
Izzy is beautiful. That was so funny, you said, Izzy. I'm going to start making our own dog food. Do you want some? Izzy looked puzzled.😂 Like you want me to get dog food!😂
I laughed at that because at that point I'd turned away to do something so I didn't see that Izzy was looking at a product. Like yourself and Heather I want to start making some of my puppies food. I think I'll start with baking a couple of treats for my puppies and make dehydrated chicken Jerky in my dehydrator. If that works out I'll try doing their meals.

These videos make me SO excited to move closer to my mom in a few weeks! I’ve lived an hour and a half away for 5 years and I finally am able to move closer so I can see my family more often! I miss shopping with my mom
You are so kind thinking about special treats for your kids and you have passed on your caring ways to Izzy. The way as a family you think and do things for others in your community is inspirational. I love the idea of doing a basket full of mini things. For some reason I also find miniature packets of things cute. It's so funny that you showed us the pan divider things because I went to a similar sort of store (just on a much smaller scale) yesterday and they had them. I'd never seen or even heard of them before. It's a good idea but I use worn out tea towels to give them another purpose. ❤

DT are so different even as corporate stores. You find different things at each one. The smaller stores which are typically stuffed full and disorganized often have the best finds! Can’t wait to see this whole haul!

I bought the Pink sauce, I haven't tried it yet though. The ingredients look pretty good which influenced me to get it.
Just a tip on cupcake papers. You can buy a larger package for less money than all of those in the grocery store, Walmart, Target. 😊❤

My Dollar Tree doesn't have frozen foods, or anything refrigerated. It only has regular stuff, canned goods, and snacks. However, I do have a Grocery Outlet in my town.

That dollar tree is like a supermarket. I just don’t trust buying food at dollar tree though. Love the mother and daughter bonding and Izzy is so funny!

@@everythingval5481 cheap “item” used to make their food, how do we really know it’s really food in any of their products. Mass production usually means cheap, for all we know it can be all plastic. I’m extreme with food though. I majorly eat organic fruits and vegetables, meat from the meta market. Most of BJ and Costco food is semi decent. I can trace where all their food comes from.

I love adding chives to chilli, soups and stews.
A quick tip for using corn tortillas. You lay one flat then spread some salsa and cheese on top. Put it in the broiler of the oven until the cheese is melted and the edges of the tortillas are crisp. Awesome snack and low in calories.

As much as you cook it would be cheaper for you to buy all your spices in bulk at Costco save you money and last longer.

Next time ask for an extra cup of ice. That way you won't be paying for ice(you get more of the drink that way). They don't charge for the extra ice either.
