As the 62MAS is basically a 60s vintage skin diver design, originally meant to be worn on something like a tropic strap, any attempt to integrate bracelet end links looks like an afterthought to me. That said, I really like this new version. I just wish the centre sections of the bevelled hands were brushed.

So they copy Seiko now too 😂😂 I bought the Seiko 1965 diver for him. He is 8 and a hardcore mechanical watch collector.
That watch only cost $1250 at the AD. Dial looks way better than this one though. Do they have any original designs ?

This is one of San Martin's budget watches. If you want to see one of their original designs where they have things like on the fly adjustable clasps and bracelets that are far better than Seikos... And still for a lot less money, then check out this one.

I have the grey dial version and I really can’t get over how well this watch is executed for the price. Just over 200.00 Canadian. If this was a mainstream brand it would be so much more expensive. I also like the subtle branding. This is a good watch at a very affordable price.

100%. With a different logo most people wouldn't even hesitate to pay a lot more for this... But because it's Chinese a lot of people automatically just say it's junk... More fool them.

This is really nice. Basic but well done.
I have my Seestern on a black sailcloth at min with red stitching, goes well with the red dial but usually have it on the razor wire bracelet. I struggle with this type of bracelet on this style of watch. Same with my Proxima 1697. The 3 link really bugs me so it lives on a BoR. I think the 62Mas homages and the 50s/60s skin diver homages in general look good with aftermarket straight end links. Keeps that vintage vibe somehow

I have 4 or 5 NH35 budget watches that I bought off AliExpress. None come close to the quality of this San Martin watch. I ordered one with the tropical rubber strap. San Martin kept the most important features that I like on this watch and kept the price down. Reasonable price is very important for me. I cant afford to pay more than 179 dollars for a watch. This watch is nice enough that it will be a keeper for me. Many of San Martins watches have gotten to expensive.

That looks great value, I don't mind pin and collar, so really the only cost saving thing that would affect me is the lack of on the fly clasp. In fact, I always think this style looks better on a rubber strap, so I would skip the bracelet and then there are no criticisms from me 👍

We all got used to high quality from China, especially san martin, Proxima, Sugess, Cronos and just consider this as yet another good value watch from them. We should be surprised that China is still doing so because it really is exceptional quality for peanuts money for us people in the West. This would cost the 5x or 10x if it was sold by another country (and still made in China for the most part. Tissot I am looking at you).
