They call it Mel-boring but it is a great place to raise kids but you have to imagine while you are driving around that it is 90 degrees outside with 99% humidity. That is why not a single car has their windows down and probably driving with the A/C full blast.
so close... my daughter goes to Florida Institute of Technology. if you had driven just a little further on Country Club Rd, you would have driven through the campus. :)
It's definitely more quiet than the South Florida beaches. It looked pretty clean, colorful and of course has a beach of its own nearby. I didn't really see anything I didn't like, but I was only there for a day.
Good times🎉 in Old Town Melbourne they block off the streets and it's one big party for the adults and the kids.. having a couple beers eating some food things for the kids to do no place to park but still a great way to meet people in Melbourne and still have a good time..Moved there in 2001 from Pennsylvania and never looked back to me a great area to live..Melbourne Beach is the place to be..🏖🔥🏖🍻🍻🤣🤣😴😴🔥🔥
"Jim Morrison" from the Doors was born and raised in Melbourne Florida his father was military the little house was sitting there all boarded up for a long time somebody grabbed it up and fixed it all up and it looks totally different now..Little bit of Melbourne History ...🎶🎸🎶
This was a really stupid route. You missed FIT, the airport, the mall area, the Northrup Grumman / GE complex, Eau Gallie was completely left out, the Hibiscus medical area, spent way too much time in residential areas and driving north forever on US1. Sorry but you could have done much better
He isn’t working with the best scenery, it’s a pretty drab and boring town. You wanted him to drive by an airport and some medical buildings, and a defense contractor.. that really is all that needs to be said
I agree. I was born and raised there but I have to agree with other commenters here that the Melbourne area is really really boring but if that is what someone likes then it would be perfect for them.

The gas station right by the 1900 building used to be a Mobil full service gas station

Taking a nice drive through the “old town” as locals call it.
Nice 👍 do a1a from Anastasia island to Daytona
Not on this trip. Already left Florida so that Treasure Coast video was the only A1A I had time to get. Possibly next time though.
