Hello! This looks beautiful on you. I just ordered the Alabaster but I kept going back and forth between your Vanilla and the Alabaster. I see that our complexions are pretty close. So I’ll see. I’m amazed how beautiful this looks on you. You’ve got beautiful skin, very plump and hydrated. Stay safe. Btw, I’m a new sub ie! Have a good weekend! 💕🥰💖
Welcome, Rachel! And thanks for subbing! I have a list of foundation colors I use, if that's helpful. You can find in the "show more" box. Many foundations, I show a range that works for me. This time of year, I'm at my most pale, and I feel that this is a teeny bit dark for me. Let me know how the Alabaster works for you!
You are so beautiful without makeup! I love how healthy & hydrated your skin looks! I'm struggling with undereye creases and crows feet currently and just picked up the camouflage stylo concealer. I've been using the Future Skin gel as my foundation for 5 years now and really love the Chantecaille line! I need to try this skin cushion foundation next! Thank you for the great info! You have a new sub!! 🙏🏼
Thank you for this review. Expensive foundation indeed so we need as much info as possible before most of us will order the product ... I watched Michelle, Mandy and Abby which I normally check out before making a purchase and then by pure chance found your channel and I really, really liked your approach! Thank you again! I subscribed and will be back!
Hi! I don’t have this foundation, nor I have I read the ingredient list, but I would bet that titanium dioxide is listed. Titanium dioxide is known to oxidize under UV light (it’s the reason that mineral sunscreens tend to also contain zinc oxide, which stays white and provides more physical screening than titanium dioxide over time). Most foundations contain titanium dioxide, as it serves several additional purposes to sun screening. So, indeed, this foundation looked better on you after a while. And the rest of your makeup was beautiful. I am now considering the ND Love blush/highlight. Thank you for the video.
Thankyou for this - really interested in this foundation, so a follow up with more info re wear time, transfer etc., would be much appreciated. I enjoy your calm, clear, incisive delivery 😄
I think it looks beautiful on you! I just celebrated my 59th birthday and agree that it is such a challenge to find a suitable foundation with the right texture and color range. Great video.💖
Great video and I love that you start with a clean canvas. Based on several videos I've watched I bought the future skin cushion (for the coverage and blurring effect) in shade Nude which is slightly darker than I actually need...I'm leaning more towards Vanilla now, but still the make up looked absolutely beautiful and natural and glowy. And I also found it wore very well for several hours. I also like that Chantecaille is about healthy skin products so I feel like I'm wearing something that is good for my skin. It is incredibly expensive though...in Canada it retails for $170 CAD! But still worth the splurge.
It looks beautiful on you. You should keep this one? i know it's expensive, but i think once you have found the perfect foundation you should stick with it. I have wasted so much money trying different foundations its untrue. I tried La Prairie about a year ago and its amazing best foundation i have ever used and that also is very expensive. My Mum always said to me when growing up? "The dearest is the cheapest in the long run"? I was wasting so much money on cheaper foundations that didn't work for me?. So now i stick with La Prairie and save money.
I had this concealer. I usually use Vanilla (future skin gel foundation, just skin), just like you. So, I think, the concealer Le Camouflage Stylo is #2
This foundation looks lovely on you - did it wear well and was it hydrating after you tested it for the week? I have the concealer in no. 2 and the one you used looks very like the colour - hope that helps. Greetings from the UK BTW :)
Although my comment is a year late, for (hopefully) added value to the video: I love this foundation. I have dehydrated, dry skin and also look like “a glazed doughnut” before applying foundation. I normally reach for Salt New York’s Sneaky Balm daily, but sometimes I need a foundation that’s not going to budge, works great under a mask, etc., and that foundation is Chantecaille Cushion Foundation. I hope that helps! (But for the most natural, skin-like look, Sneaky Balm is it for normal-to-dry skin-just perfection. I’d never gotten compliments in all my life on my skin, but now I get people gasping at how flawless my skin is. I accept the compliment because I’ve worked hard against crappy genetics, but I always honor the truth behind my complexion being Sneaky Balm.)
I was matched to the original Future Skin in Vanilla many years ago and I felt like it oxidized too. I tried the original formula in the shade Ivory and that was a winner. I'm finishing up my jar of Ivory and I don't think the Vanilla in the cushion formula will work and I'm sure the Alabaster is too light, so I might ty Westman Atelier for a change up. I would love to know how this cushion compares with WA. I know you really liked that foundation as well.
Color-wise, the WA I have runs a bit yellow. Formulation-wise, the WA is quite emollient. If you have any oiliness, you may find it uncomfortable, and it might break-up on you. If you have dry skin, you'll probably enjoy it. That's all at full coverage. If you use it like I've seen her on videos, ie a "dab" here and a "dab" there, it probably wouldn't feel as emollient. But I think this cushion looks more seamless on the skin.
@@TheHoodedLid I'm in my sixties and I like a soft, natural look and that's what I like about Chantecaille. I'm just curious about WA as well. Thanks for your input!
Looks beautiful on you actually... I am enjoying finding you well looking for some reviews that are realistic on some of these high-end products without blown out lights. Thank you so much for posting. Your technique is teaching me a lot about sponges and using them a little bit more because I use brushes for everything pretty much except the tail end of my foundation routine. I was extremely curious about that foundation. My curiosity is mostly about how long you can wear it..And possibly wearing it over a primer to extending the wear any thoughts?
Thanks, Kristen! I don't wear primer myself, so I can't say. I find the wear to be good - but very few foundations break up or fall away on me. Sorry I can't be more helpful on that.
That you for the review I trust your options, shade matching is so hard we are in a hard lockdown in Scotland no shops are open and not many shops sell this. I really struggle to find a correct shade even when matched I think every foundation turns orange on me 😩
I live in fear of foundations going orange on me. This is a primary reason I like neutral foundations and dislike mattes because they always seem to turn on me!
My skin care is kinda intense. Maelove Vitamin c, a couple of essences (I have a video on them), a Hada Labo moisturizer, and then Stratia's Liquid Gold. Then I go in with sunscreen. Was using Canmake on this day. I have a skincare video with lots of details and did a Canmake video as well!
@@TheHoodedLid I’m 57... I’ll be 58 in June. I’ve used Bare minerals for like ever .. but since I found your channel... foundation seems to be calling me! Lol Thank you 😊
I wish Chantecaille would increase its shade range. I'm cool toned, and currently have to mix two Future Skin gel shades. I'm not interested enough in the cushion foundation to buy two shades.
I agree that the colors are off too, for the foundation in the jar. I loved that for about a year, but when I went to repurchase - the colors didn't work for me.
Did you find The Future Skin oxidised ? I’ve got the jar in Vanilla and am a bit lighter than you but haven’t opened yet . I think it looks great 👍 agree the Just Sin is thicker coverage .
@@BeautyHasBeenX if it’s any help I’m vanilla in future skin , and have nude in the cushion and that is good match too. I think they are quite forgiving on shades.
I use two Wayne Goss brushes almost everyday - you probably mean the cheek brush. I think that's what it's called. The number has rubbed off, so I can't tell you - but I think it's simply "cheek brush"
Another review mentioned that after 10 uses, she had to flip the cushion which could really reduce the value for price. Can you please let us know if you have a similar experience? I’m really tempted to get this but not if I blow through both cushions in just a couple months. Thank you
I haven't worn it more than maybe 5 times - but I have found that to be the case with other cushion foundations I've used. It does come with a replacement cushion...but it certainly won't last as long as a liquid foundation - absolutely! In the past, I've flipped cushions back and forth thinking the liquid is pushed to the bottom - but still...not enough to make them last as long as liquids.
I like this color and think it builds pretty well. I feel I have a lot of redness myself and this evens it out quite a bit. I can't advise you on the color though, sorry!
I would say, you look beautiful for your age :) I am 55 and now starting to notice everything going south :( that foundation looks like skin on you, and cant tell you have a concealer on at all.
This foundation makes your skin look flawless.
I don't think I'll ever be able to afford a $128 foundation, but it looks absolutely lovely on you. Just perfect!
PLEASE do a video on your skin prep, just love how dewy your skin always looks prior to any of your reviews :)
I do have a video about my skin care. Check my playlist for skin care and anti-aging!

Aloha my friend! You look pretty and healthy! Also, love the green sweater on you! 🥰👍🌈🌺🌺🌺
I have that foundation and just love it! My preferred method of applying is a damp beauty sponge.
Far less "hand cramping" with a beauty sponge for sure!

Your skin looks beautiful! Very pretty foundation. Maybe try that new chantecaille powder with this?
duh...I did not even think of that! My table is so small and full of stuff, it didn't pop out to me! Will try that tomorrow!!
