    Thank you for posting this. As someone that is just learning how to tie his own flies, this was very easy to follow. Question, since I'm just starting to tie and my supplies are still limited, could I use very thin copper wire as the abdomen, a la Copper John, for color and segmentation and then add thin coat of UV? Or would it make it too heavy? Great instructional video, subscribed.

      You could certainly do that. It might bulk up the body just a little bit, but the weight would not be a problem at all. Give it a shot - it might be better than the original! Thanks for watching!
