- In this video I am turning beetroot into the most valuable item in Minecraft.
Beetroot has long been said to be the most useless item in the game. it is a terrible food source and works the same as a carrot already does. But after beginning a beetroot farm in my base I figured, why not try to find a use for it? Maybe I could even convince other players that it is valuable so that I can trade it for better items.
So now, in this season of Dominion, it is my goal to get rich... off of beetroot

Just now realizing that I bought beetroot to support you despite the fact that you've broken into my RV, harassed and threatened to evict me, broken into my basement storage AND killed some of my pillagers...
Also I think you have about 700 beetroot there.
The number of beetroot is simple: 960 as each tile will drop one beetroot, which while I did count up the tiles myself from the video there are plenty of breakdowns already in the chat. However, for bonus points, I'm going to also try guessing the seed drop as well. Seeing as the wiki estimates the average seed drop at 2 and 5/7ths per harvested beetroot, I will multiply the 960 beetroots by the rounded number 2.71428571428 to come up with approximately 2606 seeds. This is 40 stacks and 46 beetroot seeds before replant, and 25 stacks and 46 beetroot seeds after replant (1646 extra).

You have 8 patches of 7×8 on first floor and 8×8 on second floor, due to water fall only stop after 8 blocks apart from main water block (which is dispenser)
Since you asking how many beetroot is there and not beetroot seeds, I estimate there'll be exactly 7×8=56 and 8×8=64, 64+56=120, and then 120×8= 960 of beetroots (it always drop 1 since the only thing that affected by Fortune enchantment is the seeds, even if you use water for it)
Which compacted into 960÷64=15, so there's exactly, 15 stacks of Beetroots
Unless if there's some that is not fully grown, it'll be exactly as my prediction..

See, value is made through rarity.(Thats how inflation works) The best way to make something valuble is to make it rare. Since no logical person gets beetroot, it is worth a lot (theoretically) since its rare. Brilliant.

i just realized you use a shader sometimes. which one do you use? is it mo’s vibrancy pack? maybe sildur’s vibrant shaders?
The theoretical yield of the Beetroot farm is actually something that is easy to calculate.
Each bay (Number is Eight) contains at least Eight rows of fifteen which have a drop of One beetroot per planted and 1-4 seeds per planted beetroot, ignoring the seeds that is 15 x 8 which is 120.
We then have to multiply that by another 8 per column of Beetroot dropped, which would end our total at a minor 960 (15 stacks).
The total yield at the end of that video is a whopping 960 beetroot, AKA 15 stacks of Beetroot. Hail the Purple King of the Sea.
The only reason I can guess this answer is I sat and counted the blocks on screen.

Though if I had a second guess, because I'm tired if you had 16 rows with is 16 x 8 is 128 x 8 you get 1024.
So the second answer is 1024 (16 Stacks)

If my calculations are correct, I think there are 960 beetroot produced.
8 stacks and 47 beetroot with 5 stacks and 12 seeds.
at least 10 stacks of beetroot alone, nevermind how many seeds you got. that's a LOT of seeds to plant again. Have you thought of adding a water shoot system into a hopper and chest for easier gathering?

I believe there were 960 beetroot harvested
There are 16 plots of beetroot
The top layer and bottom layers are 8 blocks wide per plot the top side must be 7 blocks long
As there needs to be one extra block of flowage to reach the lower plots
7*8=56 56*8=448
The second plot is 8 blocks long
8*8=64 64*8=512
512+448=960
Beetroot only drop one beetroot and 1 to
4 beetroot seeds
This means I believe based off my crude calculations that 960 beetroot we're harvested

8, 8 by 15 beetroot squares is 960 beetroot farming squares, that would leave you with 960 beetroot dropped exactly or 15 stacks due to beetroot dropping at a 1 to 1 ratio. This would also leave you with about 2606 seeds or 40.7 stacks since each beetroot square drops about 2 and 5/7 seeds.
Edit: I just went through your latest VOD and at 45:49 you say "I'm surprised by the number of people who have guessed **it** already", the thing is I'm not sure if you said it, but after rewatching it a bunch it seems as though you haven't, if you did then I would change my guess to 1024 since that is what the majority of people have guessed and it would be right if the plots were 8 by 16 and I messed up my counting, though with water physics I am not sure how that would be possible.
