11:55 Perfect analogy of the sun and the moon. Even in vedic astrology sun is considered as atma- consciousness and moon as mind. Hence the reflected consciousness theory fits perfectly well!!! Truly amazing to think that our Indian Rishis were so ahead of their time..... What we're struggling to understand here- they had written detailed scriptures before this yuga was even started !!!

I follow several different teachers from various “faiths”/philosophies, but he might be my favorite overall. His very personal, down to Earth, helpful, and often hilarious anecdotes are wonderful, like the random story of the Swami in the coffin here😂 And his analogy of sunlight and moonlight here, though clearly off the cuff, was perfect.
One method to understand is Neti, Neti. Discard one by one, that which we are not.....then see what is left. Hearing repeatedly also will help. Hear other videos of Ramana Maharshi also.
Bhagawan Ramana used to say one interesting thing while discussing on the Seer , Seen and the process of seeing the World via Body , Mind, Intellect, Ego and finally how the Self is at the substratum of all . He has compared this to a Movie Screen, the Projecter, Film and the Electric Current. That tiny ray of light which hits the big Screen and brings about all the fanfare is compared to the Consciousness. The paradox here, he avers, that we too are in the midst of the screen enjoying as well as crying over the fanfare that's reeled out in the screen, our Self , which is the substratum [ Witness ] of all the activities [ shadow based, ofcourse ] in this mela.
Self inquiry will revel that you are not the personality you think you are. You are not the drop nor are you the ocean, You are not even water, For all of these are words..nor are you H2O,, or vapour...you are the beginning of it all.... but to experience the above in it's forms...we need a body mind complex with knowledge names & forms as the basis and in experiencing the above an identity is registered with us as "I".

😀 well Swami ji truelly what you explained is much better than any online vedant acharya I mean literally, and it is also true that when a human desire/interest got awake/become more intense to get to know oneself n feel restless untill they discovered the ultimate truth means he is on the way to his home ,spiritual journey had started n this is the sign of person to liberate yet it's process,this is advance Level ques , many self proclaimed vedantik master breath goes swelled up to give ans this doubt, but I think many listeners still in confusion :) First our vedanta said that we are the observer and at the last they refused it we are not even observer!but one more steps higher than this,dn who we are ?beyond observe/knower/seer and with respect thers clear ans but it's your show :) by the way what we are here talking about is info/process/methods/ 'experience' is goal of vedanta , Unless the teachings of Vedanta are clearly understood/fit in one's own 'experience'/'feeling',/realization , the words are just info but again I enjoyed a lot :) 🙏🚩 I 'know' I'm pure consciousness but que is did i 'experienced' it ? I would have to agree. I have heard all is existence itself, as stated in the Upanishads:thee who is the self in all beings and who is the self in the sun, are one. This reflected pure consciousness of existence. God is the mirror of the world.....

If I m the knower, then I disappear for 7 hrs every night. If I am neither the knower nor the one who experiences shame for what is known and unknown here. Swamiji's talks are causing a significant shift here . Thank you, is all that I can say for now.
You think that you disappear every night for 7 hours bcoz 1) in deep sleep mind is not present and therefore the Reflected I is also not present it's lost and 2) since You have identified Yourself with this body and mind ... So therefore in deep sleep U feel or think U disappear but actually You are not disappearing .... but when U wake up .. U know the fact that U had gone to sleep ... U have that knowledge of sleep right ... So how do you know this ?? 😂😅😊
Wow wow wow..each time the mind-blowing becomes more intense with each new video of swami sarvapriyanda. Each time we think we lern it all swami proves us worng. My only question is everything is reflection of me the why we all and each one has a subjective consiousnes. Even those other subjective consiousness is reflection of me? But even our physical bodies and matter and more importantly the mind Which reflect this the reflectef consiousness are themselves imade of the same reflected consiousness or pure awareness?

In the commentary to the Panchadashi 11.14, the > commentator Sri Ramakrishna Pandita gives an etymology thus: त्रयाणां > ज्ञातृज्ञानज्ञेयरूपाणां पुटानाम् आकाराणां समाहारः त्रिपुटी | (The > collection of the three 'forms' of knower, knowing and known is called > tripuTee). The WITNESS of the tripuTee !
Pure Consciousness is NOT the knower,it is the mind which plays the role of a knower and it can't play its role without the energy provided by Pure Consciousness.But mind is inseparable from Pure Consciousness,unlike the pot full of water that reflects the sun.Therefore when we say "I",we mean mind plus Pure Consciousness.But unless and until mind is clean, the Pure Consciousness doesn't reflect fully.When the mind & intellect become clean,the Pure Consciousness is reflected fully,which means knowledge of Swaroop or enlightenment. Is it correct, Swamiji?
Witness means it must be knowing something. But it won't be affected with the happenings whether good or bad, happy or sorrow all the duals. This was told in the context of Bahirmukh. In case of Antarmukh you are not witness or knower. There is no second to know or witness.
Consciousness is a witnessing offecial. The same is said in this way. “Thrisudaamasu yad bhogyam Bhakti bhokch yadbhavet. Thebhyo wilakshini Sakshi, tanmaathroham Sadaasivaha”. The Lord says “I am merely a witnessing offecial.
