- Alexis is the brave teenager who was in the fight of her life against this total stranger who pulled up next to her along Clinton River Road as she walked home from a park.
Life in prison for this predator.
That won’t last long enough. They tend to not last long after sentencing. Thank you to those that intervened. Parents everywhere are grateful that you are who you are, and are the best life lesson provider their kids will ever be exposed to.
In Michigan, the penalty for kidnapping/attempted kidnapping can be imprisonment for life or any term of years. So Michigan judges have tremendous latitude in sentencing. Let's hope he gets a judge that recognizes the gravity of the suspect's crimes.
@@chrisleblanc581 Yes they do last in prison. My husband is a retired corrections officer. These predators do just fine in prison because there are LOTS of predators in prison and your tax dollars will keep him safe. TV shows make people think inmates are just big misunderstood justice warriors, but they all are in there for hurting other people.

That's true. They try to hide the statistics and the media really doesn't like to talk about it but most sex offenders, especially the ones who go after kids, are never rehabilitated. Once they've crossed that line, they never go back.

He ran over a little boy who was trying to stop him from kidnapping the little 7 year old. He is in the hospital.
Indeed - they left that out, weird. The 8-year old boy was the son of the girl's aunt who launched herself through the driver's window and jammed her arm through the steering wheel to prevent the predator from driving off. That wasn't mentioned either.

That very rarely works in the US. The vast majority of them go to prison anyway. Prison wardens are complaining that up to half their inmates are mental cases.

@@charlenebuwentingThis is not true. My sketchy brother is in and out of the psych ward. He returns to the outside world only to continue his life of crime only going more extreme each time because they treat him with a blasé attitude. I won’t reveal my address to him because I KNOW THE DANGER.
@@charlenebuwenting But psych wards are shutting down all over the country. The few left are over crowded and is releasing patients that can care for themselves. I'm sure the criminally insane are being released as well.
He can’t ever be let out, he tried to kidnap 2 children in broad daylight fighting with the aunt of one of them telling her to get off him like he was an victim and she was harassing him. Unbelievable 😮

It was great that the man that came by during the second incident helped but this news report sure did skip over the part about how the aunt raced over on her roller blades and launched herself through the driver's window, jamming her arm through the steering wheel to prevent him from driving off. Also the aunt's 8-year old son stood in front of the car and up on the hood in an attempt to stop him too. The son was injured.

@@jessicaj.1011 this happened to me in the 90’s. I would hide from cars if it wasn’t a busy street but one guy didn’t care. It was the middle of the day on a busy street. Likely why he gave up easily.

This is the third story I have read where locals have come to the aid of a kidnapping victim. Just regular folk doing extraordinary things in order to save a child. That give me hope in the world.

@@rbjones72703If he isn’t a citizen he can still be deported. Usually visas of all kinds stipulate conduct and penalties. However, if he became a naturalized citizen, he’s ours and we keep him forever. So it just depends. I know wonderful legal citizens who had their visas revoked for less (and one was stolen identity, it took three years for him to prove his innocence and come back.) It all just depends if it’s a visa or if he went through the citizenship process.

I hope her mom gets her some EMDR counselling which will be extremely helpful to her.

But I don’t seem to see many, if any, follow up stories on these cases.
I’d like to know:
1. Did they discover this person motivation?
2. Was he held or bonded out?
3. Have they gone to trial?
4.Have they been sentenced and what was that sentence.
-With the rise in awareness of the human trafficking, of all ages, you would think that would be a question to anyone involved in kidnapping in anyway.
