    More recently I have started watching RUclips videos on different
    topics such as electronics, micro controllers, Arduino, Raspberry, UPS, Flash
    ICs and just to study I purchased a used Tektronix 100Mhz oscilloscope, RT809F
    Universal Programmer with basic adapters, Clamp Meter and so many other related
    stuff. Because I am a 60 years old retired person.
    I've enjoyed rediscovering building microprocessor-based projects, and particularly enjoy working with chips.
    Really one thing shocked me that there are so many our Pakistanis uploading videos and sharing their knowledge with others.
    I am amazed surprisingly the comment are coming from all over the world.
    Our government should not impose tax on RUclips viewers.
    Mr. Haseeb , I too would like to thank you for sharing your projects
    online. The few project videos I've seen so far are simple and easy to understand and your solutions are remarkably
    innovative, intuitive, and insightful.
    I am very grateful for your videos site and the projects and information you have uploaded.
    Just wanted to thank you and encourage you to continue this effort....Hats off to a job well done and keep up the excellent videos.
    Writing to add my appreciation and sincere thanks for all of you do sharing your projects, information and knowledge!

    Can we do a 1.2 volt to 24 volt variable?

  • @SanelKeys
    @SanelKeys Год назад +1

    Since all 3 rails are couupled, I think I'll make (when I find time), only 12V to 25v, since 5v and 3.3v will be proportional to 12v/25v rail, but I only need one rail of enough current. Challenge is to get it to work from very low voltage, near 0V to 25V.
    I think the best way to go would be to make one small separate pcb for my new control block.

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  Год назад

      taking enough constant current with wide range control of the voltage, it is near to impossible.
      it is best to disable all not-required output
      modify the transformer using turn/volt method
      so that the power supply will work in safe duty cycle.
      at the output , use an external linear voltage and current regulator
      i think practically it will good solution

    Brother solution! I followed the tutorial in this video exactly, but when I tried to test it using a 12Volt lamp load, both the amperage and the voltage dropped, it didn't work to lift the 12volt lamp load!!! I have replaced the capacitor with the out resistor. but I haven't used the pot. just use a 47kΩ resistor on pin 1 of the SDC2921 IC and the voltage becomes 14.7 volts

    Why in some SMPS the main cappacitor is one for 400-500V and in the others are 2 cappacitor in series for 200-250V? It's depend from the topology, or simply lower cost for lower voltage the cappacitors?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 года назад +1

      it depends on the topology
      if some power supply is design ed to provide high power output with regulation by means of PWM controller IC then most common topologies are used half bridge, push pull, full bridge. in this case it will need bidirectional DC current in primary, so it will use 2 capacitors
      if some power supply is designed with PFC facility to maintain DC rail's voltage, then the PWM controller is just for switching, and the line regualtion is done y PFC circuit. in this case flyback topology is used, so it needs 1 capacitor to provide unipolar dc current
