you’re probably thinking of grapha overlord
About Tenpai, you can play Fiendsmiths there too since they have the space both in main and extra, make lady B for rollback (instead of Caesar), then Seals will bounce your Lady to enable the trap and skip both main phases (MP1 by activating it regularly, MP2 by rollback). So the going first gameplan post siding is way less situational compared to what it used to, where you had to draw a floodgate or cheese with AFD/Tzolkin.
What I love about Fiendsmiths is they give you LIGHT lvl6s, so you can just drop a Chaos Angel on them (with Chundra since the tuner can be non-LIGHT/DARK) similarly to Bystials helping you make easier synchro 10s (note every Tenpai Synchro requires non tuner dragons)
I'm playing them with a Bystial package as a pseudo-Dragon link and in theory (as well as light testing on EDOpro) they work well, but take this with a huge grain of salt

Imo the jellfish Maxx c dude should only be in your deck game 1 if you're on tenpai. Way too risky to have it in your deck and then be made to go first.
Worst case with mulchummy in tenpai you seals cl1 chummy cl2 but they probably already normal or specialed from hand at that point

Can someone please explain to me why chaos summoning beast is being played? What role does it fulfill that dark beckoning beast does not? Like it's just a name brick that can be searched right?
If you open just spirit gates, dbb can search for chaos and you still get to fiendsmith engine through closed sky or use them to make Yama

ngl. if you just play into the tenpai trap in main 1 it seems really bad. it essentially just skips battle phase. they chose to go into main 2 when they definitely had enough gas to play into the seals anyway.
You can definitely get otkd in your turn if your opponent flips that trap, let's see how it turns out to be

I swear every tenpai player I see on these replay are just dog water at the game like that game 3 was winnable he had no reason to to activate seals there when he had set up to actually skip his main phase
