Watching you pull those delicious eats from the pond makes me long to return to North Dakota. Remembering those negative December to February sub zero mornings that often occur, confirms I'm presently in a better place. Thanks for sharing.
Great show James and PJ. I myself do not keep any perch under 10 inches. Your spot on the spot was awesome. Wisconsin has a find a lake page and it gives all the info for all lakes big and small. That is how I find a lot of the smaller out of the way lakes I fish I have to work to get to some of them but the pay off is great. Have a safe and happy New Year until the next show stay safe and tight lines.
Yeah you guys crushed em. I got a bit of cabin fever because it hasn't been nearly as cold as it should be for making ice. I might run to a nearby lake this coming weekend to see if we have fishable ice but its been give or take around here.
Upsizing the baits is also what they recommend you do for the deep water perch in Madison Wisconsin . They say the fish die coming up from those deeper depths & upsizing prevents killing undersized fish .
@@Skank_Hunt42 They fish them deep when the Madison chain freezes over all the way . The eyes pop out & bladder pushes out . The dnr was the one asking people to upsize to avoid killing young perch . Lake Mendota perch fishing on U-tube several videos
Good to see people that aren't scared to say it. Merry Christmas to the ido team and your families as well. Love the show. Wish you would do some videos from montana other then fort peck. But even though love the show. Enjoy waking up sundays to a new episode.
We've been eyeballing some other bodies of water out there in Montana. While we love Fort Peck there's a lot of water out there that offers some incredible fishing. Don't be surprised if you see us do a show from Montana that isn't from Peck. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Since it didn’t seem like there was much structure, were the perch wandering/circling a certain depth contour or were they holding in one area around a certain type of structure?
They were out roaming what was the basin in that particular lake. There was nothing in the area that could be described as structure outside of the shoreline. We could see a small number of large rocks on the mega 360 but we did not see the fish relating directly to them. We also did not see any changes in bottom composition on sonar That would indicate a transition from hard to soft bottom. So the short answer is I don't have an answer to what they were relating to. They definitely like that area though.
@Calais Xiong Well just keep going to your own spots and have fun. I’m sure these guys don’t need your help getting on fish. And with the limit on Jumbos that’s on Gogebic I’m sure it will stay a good fishery for a long time. But I’m sure you already knew that.
Question for you: I rarely if ever keep a limit anywhere. But if I live in MN and ND's limit is higher, can I bring a limit home? secondly, are ND potholes accessible if there is no road next to them? (landlocked).
that is a very cool fishing website for ND. Ontario has a online resource but doesn't give out the numbers on fish per net and size. More just stocking reports.
Buddy , I got a green light for night fishing for x mas! Last peice of ice equipment for this year! I want night ice, I got the 15 to 18 dollar china made! After many hours video s, the big lights seam to scare more fish! I lit it up n 14x14 room dark! It's perfect not too much!
James and PJ make a dang good fishing team and the shows they make are always phenomenal. Good job boys!
We thank you for the kind comments!

Nice video. Is there a go fund me set up so PJ can afford boots without holes? Lol
There's isn't but maybe there should be. His current pair are pretty ratty!

What a beautiful bucket full of fish
Would love to see an episode on Lake Gogebic in the UP of Michigan. Lots of Jumbo Perch and eater size Eyes in there.
@Calais Xiong And why is that bad for me exactly?
@Calais Xiong It’s a pretty big lake. I’m sure there’s enough room for us both to drill a hole. Lol

Are you guys fishing ponds on the GNF website? Or just picking any random pot hole? Started fishing in ND last year and would love to learn more.
Amazing
I really want to go ice fishing with you guys so bad
Holiday fish fries are iconic!!

Yes
Walleye wise, if your on a lake with abundant bait(perch) what do you use to target the walleye. And what areas do you target
Can we expect any vids from LOTW or URL soon? Going up next weekend and need vids to watch lol
We've got our eyes on Lake of the woods for our first destination in the new year. things can change but that's the plan right now.
Ashtabooooola LMAO 🤣
Never fished it. Good bite?
So what is all needed to use the helix 9 on the ice?

We just put together a video to answer that very question earlier in the week.

Agreed. It is a gold mine of info.
Can i ask what rods you were using? They look like bullwhips, is that correct?

1.5 lbs-2lbs is good sized perch where these guys fish most of the time.
That 24 volt sounds hilarious
She rips!
