You said to cock the shutter before setting the shutter speed, it’s supposed to be the other way around! Set the shutter speed before cocking the shutter. It’s also says so in the instruction manual. I really enjoy watching your videos, keep up the good work!
The only film I use in this camera is Fomapan 400 because it has darker printed numbers on the backing paper. Hp5 and Tri x numbers are very pale. My Seagull 4bi is immaculate too. Excellent quality results. A very sharp lens. I mostly use my 1957 Yashica Mat with a 75mm 3.5 Lumaxar lens. No red window. Automatic lever winding and shutter cocking. I have a shutter release adapter to enable the use of a standard cable release.
Hi Neil, great advice, I messed up my first film as you describe, have to admit it's not a camera I instantly go for, I have 3 Rollei TLR fighting for attention, they are great cameras and iconic, not sure if they are still in production, last I heard they were struggling to stay afloat, the present situation doesn't help either..

Thanks for your kind words, oops, thanks for putting me right, like most men I never read the manual !

Would love a new one...how do you go about purchasing a new or not been used one...great video!
Another great video. Thanks.
Hi Shelley, thanks again for your post, hope all is well with you....
@@thephotographersbag We are good. Been woking on a "get outa dodge" vehicle so I haven't been posting. :( But good. Thanks.
Interesting camera - I’ve got a Lubitel 166 that I haven’t tried out yet, but after watching this video, I think I’ll give it a go!
