Beautiful scenery. Nice to have a little sunshine while you're in the camper. You're all well prepared for the elements. Even Benny. Lol...no lifeguard on duty. I've always wanted to snowshoe. You two actually look warm out there. 👍
Hi friends! Yes, we were toasty warm in our snowsuits. It's amazing how much the sun can warm up the dinette when it hits those windows. Great for the winter ☺️
Looks like a fun park for winter activities! Loved the way you made a rink with a longer skate loop and less shovelling.
We called that the speed loop 😅
Great sunny clip! Nice work on the ice rink! Looks like a wonderful Park!
Thanks, the shoveling was some good cardio! We'll definitely be heading back there again.
Great video. Love the scenery. Diehards to even attempt to shovel to go skating. Kudos! Great to know there's winter camping available at Manning Park. We'll be in that area early next month. Thanks for the tip and Happy Winter. ❄️⛸️
Thanks, you too! It's a really beautiful park and apparently the skiing is decent too, although we haven't tried it yet. We'll be heading back for sure.
Nice drone coverage leaving your home. Wow all of that snow. Yea you got to ice skate
Thanks, yeah we were really happy that we were able to make our little ice rink after all! The shoveling was a lot of work, but it was worth it :)
Great video. Funnily enough we were just talking about loading up our RV with the same Indian food. We can get it at Loblaws here in London.
It was soooo good! Nothing like spicy hot Indian food when it's frigid outside.
Nice video as always! I wanna have a roadtrip sooo bad!!
PS: Loved that bright view of the frozen lake 💙
Thanks, yes we're trying to make the most of everything that's available right near our home. Thankfully we live close to lots of outdoors and nature! ⛰️🌄
Benny is the best!
He's our #1 😍
Looks like a really pretty area. Thanks for sharing. Kent and Tami
Thanks, we really love living near the mountains. Never dull scenery, except when it's raining and foggy. Which is actually quite a lot in the winter :)
Love seeing Canadian camping videos in the winter. If I had the courage tow in the snow I would head up as well. (I live in Chilliwack) I was up there last week and it was absolutely beautiful. One of my favourite camping at Lightening lake Great to vicariously follow your trips. Keep them coming. Thanks!
Thanks! Chilliwack, eh? I hear you lucky dogs got no snow. Meanwhile, here in Hope, we're buried! ❄❄❄ Glad you've been enjoying the videos. More snowy fun to come!
@@HomeARoam Yes, we did luck out, for now. I hope that you can scope out some great boondocking sites in spring. I get a feeling this is going to be a tough year to get sites. As we are sort of neighbours that is the least you can do. :)
Hahah, for sure! 😀 I think you're absolutely right about campgrounds being packed this summer. I suspect even the boondocking areas will be busy! We'll definitely report on what we find. And we're also in the midst of upgrading our electrical system to be able to boondock for longer time periods.
@@HomeARoam Good luck with your upgrades.
Great video, beautiful scenery, but I could not handle the rain, clouds and lack of sun in many parts of BC during the winter.
Thanks, yes the rain and darkness definitely gets old quick. But there's always a few nice breaks, or you can drive an hour or two and end up in a completely different weather and climate zone! :)
You sure still know how to skate. I would have fallen already trying to make a spin.
Mel is still a little rusty, but I (Jay) thought she put on a very decent showing. Next time I'll try to find some skates so we can get some nice footage of me wiping out! 😆
I have tented in winter and summer in Manning Park and you have demonstrated that RVing is the way to go! I wouldn’t bring skates, because there are no sideboards for stopping myself!
Yeah, for some reason I (Jay) don't think I could convince Mel to tent in the winter. Actually, probably not even in the summer at this point. We're pretty hooked on the whole RV thing :)
@@HomeARoam Any RVer I’ve met has said they would never go back to ⛺️!
It's just too easy to get spoiled 😀
Looks so nice to camp there during the winter, will probably come to explore the area as well to make so touring ski haha, thanks for sharing, nice video!
We'll be going back, so be sure to give a shout if you head this way! Hope things are going well out there for you, I hear it's cooooooold ❄🌨⛄😀
@@HomeARoam Sounds good to us! Everything’s going alright, thanks for asking! I (Jonathan) don’t mind extreme temperature (either cold or hot) so it’s good to know that Winter finally arrived haha😊! Wish you a great day to you both😊!
I remember when I was younger in Ontario when it dropped to -25 and the air felt like it burnt your lungs going in. I have to say, I do not miss those days 😀
@@HomeARoam Haha I feel you😂!
Questions. -4 C. I take it you have antifreeze in the pipes? So the camp has heated washrooms? Curious.
Our fresh water tank was drained prior to the winter season. And yes, the grey and black tanks have RV anti-freeze, so we used our toilet and sink drains as normal, putting some extra anti-freeze in periodically to keep the ratio up. Plus we have an enclosed, heated underbelly, so none of the pipes would have dropped below freezing while we were camping -- only potentially during transit.
nice video,, question, what month is the lake completely safe on ice activities?? ty
Thank you for taking time to comment. That's a great question! The weather can change and be different every year, so I'm not sure if there is a specific month that it can be deemed always safe. We were there in February and it was fine 😊

So NOW can I ask how you like Seven Wonders Duel? :)
LOL, yes, we love it. Mel won the first few games. Then it was mixed for a while, and then I (Jay) have won the last few. Very fun addictive game, thanks again for the tip!
are you worried about your water tank freezing ?
Great question! We have an insulated heated underbelly, so as long as it doesn't go too far below freezing we are fine.
