This is typical for bass players we are kinda use to it. We find a way to cut through yet sit in the mix and make music heavier or have more groove just depends on whats needed.
Saw him at namm ,,playing to a backing track , to a cattle decap tune ,, the most brutal crushing bass tone I've ever heard ... He had people destroyed .. done
Whoa how did I never see this video up until now? They're my all time favorite, saw them in Moncton a couple years ago and got to chat with Chris and Matt a few times during the night, as well as Oli right after their set for like 15 minutes. They made themselves really approachable so it made the experience even better. All around great musicians and great guys :)
Been a fan of these guys for years... Bassist sounds like a fun dude. They might not sound as good as they used to, but I still respect everyone for keeping the band going. That new EP sounds killer, actually.
While some of that is true, you gotta give Cryptopsy credit that they're still rocking on after all that time. Playing exhausting shows all over the world and blessing us with new recordings. There isn't really a band like Cryptopsy and some of the shit you can read in comments here on their videos is just sad. Spoiled idiots who have no appreciation for their work really.
Love how the bass player is getting covered by guitars even when he's giving an interview.
These videos are filmed under extreme time constraints, so filming during soundchecks sometimes happen.

How to be a bassist in a famous touring metal band:
Step 1: Spector Euro Lx 5
Step 2: ????
Step 3: profit
Hehe. South Park reference. 🤘
Underpants gnomes would be proud
I love Cryptopsy and met them in 2013. Nicest dudes, really down to earth. Talked to Chris about production and he was really helpful.
Definitely nice guys!
*Listening to the bass setup* Oh swee- *DUNNNNNNNN*
Thanks for watching.

Hey! I've got that same Ibanez! Someone stole my previous one so I replaced it with that. I still miss the stolen one but that's a great guitar.
Anytime anything gets stolen it sucks!
