that classic evil 240p shit
It makes it more evil.
When he said 10 years ago. Naturally I thought of 2009 but no, he meant 2014 when I was in my senior year of highschool😅 @@joshuafarden6069
🤣🤣🤣
so nostalgic to listen to this. reminds me of having emo hair and bumping this and deicide on my Nokia 😢
Love how the intro just draws the normie listeners in with a lighter metal sort of sound before the usual Cryptopsy whirlwind of ferocity hits you about a minute in
Like "her ghost in the fog" by cradle of filth
Craptopsy. Lame shxt. They suck floppy cack
In the beginning it sounds like one of those early 90s bands, like Quicksand, musically.
@SciFyerGaming qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq1111
Totally did that to me when I was like 15 and didmt what the fuck was happening 😂
Love Lord Worm, he's easily my favorite death metal singer. But let's not forget the true star of Cryptopsy, Flo!
"the true star"? Are you fucking joking? Lord Worm was the essence of Cryptopsy.
6Vital6Remains6
Yeesh, sorry vital; we're all friends here. As I said, Lord Worm was an awesome vocalist. And also no, Cryptopsy probably will never be the same without him. My point was that Flo Mounier, even alongside Lord Worm, stood out among metal musicians, and easily as one of the best drummers of the genre.
6Vital6Remains6 bitch please. Jon Levasseur.
The true Prima donna of Cryptopsy, Flo!
All these comments only serve to take from the fact that metal (for it's most part) IS A GROUP EFFORT. And I fucking hate people worshiping (usually) only the vocalist, who more often than not, only those the vocals, no lyrics, no writing of the music, no off-instrument, just fucking vocals. Most of the time even being artificially and arbitrarily called "lead" of the band. Sounds like the fucking retarded 80s trends of groupies.
But other than that, yeah, Flo Mounier and Lord Worm are fucking law in this context.
huge fan of this track......miss you Lord Worm.......
Can you please help me find a way to like LW lol I fucking love Cryptopsy and actually just discovered them a couple years ago but I find I only like them with Matt. Not that the music doesn't kick ass, but there's something about him that just.... Idk I feel like he's one of their drink uncles.
He isn't dead.
@@stephenl5416 people will always prefer the original+he got some nice lyrics and his vocals on the first 2 albums I seen as legendary in death metal
@@godji9396 that's usually how I feel, I just think Matt's style is better suited for the newer material. Whatever though, it's all metal, it's all good. Hey if you're a DEATH fan, there is a new documentary called DEATH BY METAL. it's about Chuck Schuldiner.
@@stephenl5416 For real? Aweseome. But you're right Lord Worm wouldn't be suitable for the newer stuff and musical differences is why he left in the first place I believe
Flo and Lord worm: Two metal legends....pure talent🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lord Worm can make any ancient literature sound badass.
Is that what it was ?
@John Kravitz your last name marks you, rat
@@miserydays3142 yes its Psalm 91 5-8 ) King James New Testament
Got that right, @Thesocraticbreed!
If a preacher like Lord Worm were in the church of my town, I would propably go and listen to his sermon.
going to go see Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Cryptopsy tomorrow!! badass lineup
how it was? haha
Goodbless you!
*03:11** that glorious way to close a book, none can do it stunningly than Lord Worm, none, so vile...*
Just love that the dude doing vocals was also at some point [not sure if he still is] a teacher. So good. Hope things are going well for Lord Worm.
Yes, he was a teacher of English in Montreal!
@@Iesous27 most likely he still is
The vocalist really looks like a good actor who is able to do a great job on a some hollywood movie :)
swedenskill Looks like Yanni
Lord Worm does look very Shakespearean. And the whole eating worms from a chalice thing is VERY theatrical in a style that normally prides itself on being straightforward and brutal, even down the the very stripped back and casual stage presentation. In an ocean of dudes in band tees and board shorts, here's this guy looking like he's 1590 chewing on nightcrawlers.
Prince Aligorna well, he's a English teacher
@@leetorry Did not know that. Cool
@@princealigorna7468 its one of the reasons why he left Cryptosy the first time, other than him not liking the direction. Second time was due to health issues.
Alex auburn is a really underrated guitarist. his work on once was not was astounding
Wow.
@@secnock. ?
Jon Levasseur really write all of these song, also plays on Carrionshine and Adeste but only credited on acoustic piece Luminum
@@daylightorn Hey im so sorry about the miscommunication and poor choice of words. I knew that Jon Levasseur had written the material. I meant that Alex Auburn did a great job recording the bulk of the guitars on the album.
Very much agreed brother. I’ll porn-ably so never get over “The Pestilence” track..
Lord Worm forever, I think that the real Death Metal lovers are gonna miss him!
For sure
We need this video in HD..............................
I could have sworn that when I first saw this over 10 years ago it was crystal-clear
It was on the Nuclear Blast DVD compilation album Monsters Of Death Vol.2 (NB 1859-9)
I wish they would have done more with the riff at 1:02
I totally agree with you!Great riff
That section just screams "Cryptopsy"
Exactly. That riff is so fucking sick
It comes back but a little slower on the track Endless Cemetery...shit is filthy 🔥🤘🏼
I remember when I first started listening this this band back in highschool, people thought I was weird. I think they were weird for not liking Cryptopsy.
I love that chord progression in the beginning I've never heard anything like that before. If anyone knows anything like this please tell me this is awesome.
Sounds like deftones a little bit
Very Opeth sounding.
Try glassjaw or deftones
Once Was Not is addicting. You can never get enough of this masterpiece
You can tell it from the 2000s it has what every metal music video had a shakeup cam
The light of video resolution does not shine on this genre. Love it.
The slow, melodic riff sounds almost post-hardcore like Far or Quicksand. Awesome song.
Sounds..great actually, it's very different from their old songs, it has a mix of very nice and melodic notes with technical riffs. Lovely.
"Very different from the old songs"
Uh... are you sure about that, bud?. Have you ever listened to None So Vile? That album was full of melodic solos.
@@spongebitchbobface why did they go full retrd and core? ? ? are they still doing that
i stopped following cryptopsy for sometime
@@legesupra4275They went back to full on brutal/tech death after The Unspoken King, that deathcore sound only lasted for one album. If you have any doubts, check out the two albums and two EPs they’ve released since. Self-titled is one of their best
Throughout my highschool years I came across Cryptopsy. Got their hoodie that says extreme music on the back with the bat logo on front. Still have it to this day almost 24 years later. I will never forget seeing them live in chicago when I was 15
Нынешний состав и вокалист меня не впечетлил.А вот эти альбомы я с удовольствием слушаю.
Agreed
This band will go down in history
Lord Worm...Lord Worm....Lord Worm. No better vocalist for this band. Period
This band is so friggen awesome. & i'm very proud to say that CRYPTOPSY is %100 Canadian!! I just like "Mr.Lord Worm" back on stage with the mighty CRYPTOPSY where he belongs. It's just not the same without him. This new kid they got is alright but you can't beat "Lord Worm" man, his total stage presence with that long black trench coat & leather pants & gloves just makes the total stage show even more evil. I can't wait to see Cryptopsy live in London,Ontario on Dec.10th.2013 at The APK. Gonna be an insane show in such a small venue.
My favourite song of this album
Extremely close choice for me between this one and Angelskingarden, probably have to lean towards the former tho
@@BittersweetDuality Adeste Infidelis for me but Angelskingarden is a close-up
@@soultenebrae Three and a half minutes into Adeste Infidelis is the nuttiest thing I have ever heard played on drums. Fucking mind-blowing shit

At thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee

i was nicknamed ''Crypto'' because i used to listen to cryptopsy all the time ...
then lord worm left :(
Cool story bro
The intro to this is absolutely fantastic.
I love this song, the melody is amazing, it's been running through my mind all week!
this band singlehandedly redeemed the entire nation of Canada with this album

16 YEARS AGO....!
Holy fuck...!!!
I still have not figured out how to process with such a long memory distances...
Lord Worm is the perfect frontman. He's dramatic as all hell but he's also believable! I love his oh-so-cryptic expressions and mannerisms in this clip. Fucking brilliant! Oh and the song is killer too.
One of my faves from my favorite Cryptopsy album. Then again, I love the shit out of every song on this album. Awesome video as well. One thing that doesn't get mentioned enough about this band is how amazing their guitarist and bass player are. These guys are truly brilliant musicians whose brilliance occasionally gets lost in Lord Worm's awesome voice and Flo's unbelievable drumming. Overall, I think they're the most talented band in Death Metal. I miss Lord Worm. Alot.
Seen these guys a few times (and met a couple of them too) They are awesome !! My first and only time crowd surfing was during one of those shows.
Where has this been all my life? Amazing.
Lmfao, I love this. He is reading while standing in a swamp or whatever it is LMFAO. I love this song, Video and band!!!
I wouldn't call it mediocre song at all unless you are referring it to the band its self
I love the chords they use in this song
Was sup, Goofy wants his money btw.
I could do some shitty noob parkour to this song
@@BittersweetDuality lmfao

Morbidxone Q relax bro. this video came out just a little ove ra year the youtube came out. besides u don't need good quality for a good song/video. if you like the song buy the album.
Jayson Higgins what I meant is they can upload a better version. This is one of few music video I actually enjoy other than the music itself.
Fredo Santana wtf? look at this toxic little shit.
First world problems bro...
I never listened to death metal but this song has something very unique that makes me wanna listen again and again... also the double bass is very brutal
I remember seeing this on myspace when it was new. I miss those days!!!!
best part of the song is the intro, right up til lord worm bricks his pants
he has good low screams i wish he did them more in his songs :(
Flo's drumming 1:02-1:14
So insane it sounds like a sword slashing
Shows how remarkable the past really was with bands and people like these making it happen together.
The generations of music we have today is entirely inspired by these bands. And though we have a lot more deathmetal bands than we know off, with a lot of truly great music that pushed the boundaries of the extreme music genre in all off its varieties. ( Slam death, brutal death, deathcore, deathgrind, symphonic death, Gore, pornogore, technical, ) Styles, genres, sub genres, have merged and blended into soundscapes few people on the world actually heard. And yes there are bands with big names out there, but few of them approach the style of metal in the 80's - 2000's, The sense of rebellion has really changed, the innovation has been expelled, because these guys were some of the first to do it. And with less technicall equipment they wrote some of the most intense albums of all times. The stamp of an era. but newer things rarely seem to elevate to that state. There is only one Nile, one Cryptopsy, One Berzerker, and you name it. But often in newer waves of metal, you find that a lot, does sound the same, with some exceptions. Especially slam deathmetal, after years of listening to it, you just wish you find that one band or those few bands that take a totally different spin on the genre. Like you haven't heard this before.
I always go through this video to let my reproduction it since 2008. Even when I didn't have an account here. Incredible how so much time has passed and it is still a great sick song. All hail to Lord Worm & the REAL Cryptopsy!
Who else listening to this after hearing about the corona virus lol
Cheers
Absolutely, it is more relevant now than ever
hi
Who is from qc?
F Corona
Man, next album will be BRUTAL and fucking old school, trust me! I'm working my ass of to do the best songs possible! Hopefully you'll like it as much as I do!
That Dudes drumming at 02:12 is motherfucking insane bro.
They had a contest @ Scrape Records in Vancouver many years ago, you had to eat live worms to win a bunch of Cryptopsy stuff and the band was there doing a signing ! Good times. \m/
we heard barry won that one ;)
It's so metal... I just jizzed mercury!!
This song has a drifting feel during the "chorus" part. Back in 2005-2006, when it came out, it was my first experience with the band and now I love all of their work (except the Unspoken King, which is not a Cryptopsy record to me).
Lord worm!! Cryptopsy rules..
Killer video.. thanks for sharing it century media..
I have a drumstick signed by Flo Mounier (the drummer) that my dad got at the end of a show. When the show ended, my dad went to the drummer and asked him for a drumstick, and Flo just gave him one. So now I own a signed, live used by Flo Mounier, official Cryptopsy drumstick. Long live Cryptopsy and Quebec!🇲🇶🇲🇶🇲🇶 (I know this is not the Quebec flag)
never boring listening this song \m/
Take this all of you and eat it. This is the cup of worms.
the song around 2:09 is super cool. Super unique, that riff always stays in my mind through the years. One I can't forget

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FKN SONG!
really cool drum production
there's a grandpa next to my house who looks and sounds exactly like Lord Worm. since he moved in, I play Cryptopsy everytime I see him :D
If deftones were brutal this is it.
No lord worm. No cryptopsy...

This song just gets me every time :]
i absolutely love the intro, its tasteful and epic
Worm Åkerfelt
When cryptopsy had nuts...
They still do.....
The last good record. Once Lord Worm left, it all went downhill. I remember watching this on Much Loud when I was 12 or 13, then I got to meet the band at an autograph signing a few months later. I told Flo how big an impact the video had on me - it was some of my first exposure to death metal.
Awesome from Chicago Illinois

I can't see how can anyone enjoy this nonsense

Epic metal from trois riviere
EPIC as HELL!!! long live cryptopsy!!!
this is Cryptopsy at their technical best.....'Phobophile' from None so Vile is another amazing track
cryptopsy without lord worm, is not cryptopsy, period.
***** na man. don't be a lord worm but buddy. disalvo, lacroix and new matt mcgachy are all fantastic and just as good as lord worm. I bet u if disalvo sang on all the albums lord worm did people would praise him.
Jayson Higgins funny but, cryptopsy's best albums were blasphemy made flesh, none so vile and this one, a little bit strange album, jazz fusion + brutal death metal, but great album tho, all these 3 albums having lord worm as vocals, the rest is pure crap in my opinion, cryptopsy became grindcore, a very band grindcore band, i really liked how lord worm left the band cause he wanted younger and healthier ppl to get into the band, but instead they just fucked cryptopsy, they should have keep doing brutal death metal, as we all knew from cryptopsy, grindcore is not
***** first off. they had flo, chris, alex and eric(who is the oldest besides worm) before worm left. also all of them were younger then lord worm who was 40 during once was not. also they arnet and never have been grindcore. the fastest cryptopsy album was and then you'll beg which was technical death metal. all there stuff is technical death metal exept TUK which was deathcore. learn ur shit before u say it m8.
Jayson Higgins suffocation and cryptopsy where the bands who created brutal death metal as we know it today, what the shit are you talking about, and you won't change the fact, lord worm is fucking cryptopsy, period.
***** cryptopsy = technical death metal, deathcore (2008) everyone who hasn't lived under a rock since 1990 knows suffocation pionerd BDM. but lets be honest. if u even try albums like
and then you'll beg, whisper supremecy, none so live, and cryptopsy. u will see cryptopsy defiantly did not need lord worm to be good. at points cryptopsys self titled has better and more technical parts then none so vile. u just don't like anything that doesn't have lord worm plasterd on it when it comes to cryptopsy which is just foolish.
The intro is so relaxing.
Fun fact the guy with the mustache is Lord worm and he would eat actual worms on stage during gigs...all hail Lord worm!!! 🐛🪱
pure fucking class!

I remember first seeing this video on MTV on Headbangers ball
Drumming in this is fantastic!
y'all got an "hd" version anywhere?

Flo probably has it on a hard drive somewhere, they have videos from the 90s too he has archived. (I believe one of the tracks off blasphemy had a really good video done for it, worm spoke about it on a podcast) Flo’s probably too busy smelling his own farts in his Prius to bother publishing any of it. Besides- he’s got a ship of Theseus to run.
wtf. its a priest.?
The lord worm era is the best era of cryptopsy
J'aime beaucoup ce morceau.......
