Thought I'd drop a comment to let you know there are people who love the variety of your videos too. Bangkok is also a part of Thailand and it's cool to see a bit of everything from this wonderful country. Maybe a loud minority will have some beef with creators sometimes but most of us are probably just here for your awesome and unique style. I appreciate you a lot! So happy every time a new vid comes out 😀
I personally love the Bangkok series Paddy. You have barely scratched the surface of that amazing city. Every time my wife and I go we find TONS of new places, restaurants and things to do! Don't rush! We're happy to see what you find around Bangkok!
I still didn't 100% Bangkok despite born here the new skytrain and metro route help us a ton compare to the past video like this ting my adventurer soul so much that I want to once I'm less busy
Ko Kret is a cultural oasis in a suburban area of Greater Bangkok. It is just across the river from the downtown area of the city of Pak Kret, a major Bangkok suburb and the second largest city in Nonthaburi Province. Downtown Pak Kret is served by several BMTA bus routes, such as Bus 166 from Victory Monument and Bus 52 from Bang Sue Junction Railway Station via Mo Chit and Chatuchak Park. In the near future, Pak Kret will be reachable by Pink Line monorail, which connects with BTS Green Line Skytrain and SRT Electric Red Line commuter train.
What a lovely spot. Taking a break from digging out after a blizzard in Maine. I needed these few moments of sunshine and travel happiness. Thanks Paddy.
I’ve lived, worked in Bangkok and thought I knew it like the back of my hand. Your Bangkok series is showing me places I’ve never been. A lot of people don’t like Bangkok because they don’t know it well enough. As much as the islands and places like Chiang Mai are beautiful, the big mango has some wonderful places to visit as well. The series has been well presented and I’m enjoying it, keep up the great work. Stay safe and looking forward to future videos 👍🏻
I myself love to be able to see Bangkok through your eyes. I have been to Thailand on a few occasions but have never stayed more than one night in Bangkok. After this mini series I will make sure to have more time in Bangkok next time I go! Love your content👍
I, for one, am glad you are taking the time to explore Bangkok and surrounding areas. It just enhances the value you offer for tourism in Thailand. Well done, Patty! Cheerio and all that good stuff! From the Polar Bear section in the Arctic Circle!!! We say, "Three Cheers!!!"
MORE BANGKOK PLEASE! The bangkok ones are my favoutite. I got bored with all the province videos but you have really turned it around and gone to the next level since you arrived in Bangkok.
Paddy! We’ve been watching you forever and we absolutely love your Bangkok content! Stop listening to the 4 people out of 50,000 complaining you’re not doing the province’s! We love it all! You’re amazing thank you for all your hard work. Sonny and Lindsay’s in LA!
For the record I enjoyed the BKK series. It was nice to see you happy, excited and relaxed and enjoying civilisation. You’re definitely at your best when you’re loving what you do. Carry on. ✌️😎🙏
The leaning chedi (stupa or pagoda) of Ko Kret is in Mon-style as Ko Kret is a major community of Mon people in Greater Bangkok. You can find many Mon cultural heritage sites on the island.
I'm the lucky viewer who watching in a row of 19,999 viewers I'm so lucky from now on 💕💕💕💕god bless however I really love your channel immediately while I'm exploring with this amazing vdo🥰🥰🥰
I am very happy that you are doing the Bangkok series as I want to get more familiar with Bangkok too. I will be there again next winter and am keen to explore more when I get there again. So thanks
I agree also with the last comment. I use Bankok as just a stop off to go North. So it great to see variety and that there are things worth exploring in Bangkok. Its a good mix. So I really enjoy the way you have mixed it up.
You know there will always be critics no matter what content you produce. Having never been to Thailand, I can honestly say that I appreciate the content and all the experiences you have there. Great job, love it! Thank-you
I was in Bangkok 2 years ago just before COVID hit. Koh Kret not the easiest place to get to but the wife and I chosen the most scenic route by taking the Chao Phraya ferry from Sathorn Pier all the way to the most northerly pier. However, it’s still a way to go from there. Opted to take a private long tail speedboat for the last leg to Koh Kret, think it was THB 400 one way and the guy hung around for us for the return journey too. Nice to know the new monorail will get there thought. We enjoyed cycling around the island.
You don't have to justify your decisions. It's your adventure, us subscribers are just along for the ride. Personally I like your Bangkok series. Much like you I didn't pay Bangkok much attention on my travels and it's nice to see some of the hidden attractions.
Your current series is great!. It's unfortunate that some of your viewers have never had traveller's FATIGUE. In hope to see more of the Bangkok area from you in the future! Enjoy your travels....
First, thank you for this wonderful and for us, nostalgic video. I spent many years working not far from there at the international school Bangkok, and trips to that little market area and the island were frequent and wonderful little escapes. As for people not wanting videos around Bangkok, Bangkok is sort of inevitable! Getting to know some unique and fun things to do in the city is a real gift to your viewers. The last thing you wanna do is show up in Bangkok and be stuck with nothing but traditional tourist activities. I think your Bangkok videos are invaluable. Everybody wants to get out into the other provinces, and that’s wonderful too, but there’s great value in what you’re doing there in Bangkok as well. Thank you so much!
Hiya Paddy, Great video. Always informative. I enjoy any video you do. I think you always have great content. Cool tunes. Good vibes. And you always make me smile. So thank you. Sorry, late in watching. It has been a beautiful dry day. Been out walking, Buddy, my puppy. Have a great week.
Don't feel pressured Paddy, head off again when you are ready... I've been thoroughly enjoying your Bangkok episodes, learning what's available to see on day trips out from the big smoke.. it's great thank you !!
Gorgeous edit, very clever capturing the kids music and then using the tune for the other scenes, and then cutting back to him.. perfect little spot for a vlog.. good work dude.. Man that craft beer place looks EPIC.. was that the one you mentioned we need to go next time?? Not badly priced either!! And a craft beer booze cruise? Can't believe it's not more popular all around Bangkok!! I don't about others, but i would rather see videos with people having a good time, and clearly it's Bangkok and South, like Phuket etc.. the North is still pretty grim.. All in all, super video, and looking forward to Krabi vibes!!
I love Bangkok and am loving your Bangkok series, Paddy! Please do not be discouraged nor pressured to leave prematurely! Koh Kret looks like a cool place. I want to visit that brewery! Saw Sour Tom Yum beer on the menu. What?! I must try this!
I really think that you caught the true Thai atmosphere in this video! I’m longing to go back to Thailand. And I also really like your Bangkok adventure! Keep it up!
Bangkok is an incredible city and the videos there are a nice contrast to the rest. I'd love to see you dive into more unique places (rooftop bars?) that Bangkok has to offer and perhaps team up with The Roaming Cook again. Signed a Canadian living vicariously through you.
The fish at the beginning is a freshwater archer fish it feeds on flying insects and has a unique style of shooting them out the air from 300mm above the surface. We always fly from Bangkok and have a couple of nights in hotels there, maybe not to miss the plane and some shopping, and we like going to interesting places, some you have covered but most we had no idea of. So the list of places to visit is getting larger, and being in Bangkok at some point there can be no excuses in seeing something cool and take in some chit beer!
Great video Paddy. I can definitely imaging myself having a beer there. Great to see how the locals enjoy their weekends - no different to any of us. Keep up the great work.
Hey Padster I am really enjoying this break in Bangkok. I was a bit provinced out and had stopped watching your vids. Now I can't wait for you to get out there when you are ready and all refreshed x
Here in our house we really like Bangkok, so for us this Bangkok series is great. Far more interesting than the Isan one (sorry, even though it was beautiful). And it's great to see you have spirit and sparkle in your eyes again 😃 So please continue the good work.
I love all your vlogs - can't have a series about Thailand without doing Bangkok justice - you do you Paddy we are still here even if there are some complainers they'll be ok LOL This one was great loved that bar looked like an awesome time!
As long as you're in Thailand you can film anywhere. Don't care if it's a road trip or a hole in the wall restaurant down an alley. You're in Thailand!!!! Love it all! I understand needing the break. I'm on a show working through the winter and I'm exhausted already. We still have 5 months to go. 🤪 I've been here, but did a boat trip called the 9 temple tour or seven, can't remember. Loved it. Next time, it's bicycle time. 🧘🏻❤☮
This is one of the best choices that can help you escape from the town center especially on the weekend., if u have time in your hand and plan to go somewhere " somewhere island, crystal clear and beautiful blue sky " put Maya Bay in the list and " I prefer weekday 🤫☺ with a lot of sunscreens"
Bangkok is apart of the Provinces. So even if some people don't like it, sure it's a city but it is apart of Thailand. I, for one, love the Bangkok series! I am also looking forward to the rest of the provinces but you do also need to chill out and be able to relax and look after yourself as well, travelling will definitely take it's toll as you know it does! Keep up the amazing videos and keep looking after yourself!
The 80's style of music was perfect lol. I'm enjoying your Bangkok and provinces just outside of Bangkok videos! I'm also really into the craft beer scene. I've added it to my exhaustive list of food and chill places to visit during my time in Thailand.
Rangnok (the coffee shop) means bird nest. Perhaps that's why inside it looks like a bird nest theme 07:43 to me. Very nice video. I really want to visit there, this will be on my trip list. Definitely the Chit Beer if I go. Nice one Paddy, thanks.
The city of Bangkok is very beautiful, I did not know without watching your video. The interest to go to Bangkok in the future increased a lot after watching your video
God I need to spread my wings again. Love to go back, travel bug who has been in the UK last 2 years. Got to get back out there. Great vid Paddy yer blighter! 🤙
I was one of the people that wanted to see the travels because they were simply what I hadn't seen. In hindsight I'd say you were right, if you were doing in this in UK you wouldn't spend the same time and find variety in say Burnley, (No disrespect intended) as you would in London, Liverpool, Cardiff or Edinburgh and many other notable places.
enjoyed this video. Love the little boat ride for 10 baht. bicycle, that is my style. And close to Bangkok. Paddy get 100% in your own health and well being so I can keep following you. I plan to visit Thailand Oct. when it is safe to travel. I'm a solo 72 yr old female traveller and really enjoy your journey.
Paddy, never stop exploring BKK, don't listen to them! It's so fantastic and there is so much to see and check out there. I love it, and never cease to amaze my sceptical friends about what's on offer. You've given me some great new ideas too! Carry on...!

I’m surprised you get complaints. North, south; Bangkok, provinces …. All your content is fabulous!
Koh Kret is a village of Mon people they migrated from southern part of Burma hundred yrs ago. Now Mon is one of the minorities in Mynmar.

Chit is the original Thai craft brewer and has always welcomed new starts to bring their brews by.

Charming place out of time. All series are interesting, specially when you're blocked in your own country!
Koh Kret is a nice spot. I bought some cool plaid shorts there years ago. That craft beer spot is fantastic and good value for money!
Wow loved the place . Hidden gem
