No joke, when I got to this level as a kid I was afraid to fight Gnasty because I thought that if he shot his attack at you, you would turn to stone and the game would lock up.
Ag silver Radio Actually, yeah. The latter would probably work, especially considering that the whole thing is pretty much just a big chase. And include more points where he could blast you at.
Heard the final fight was supposed to be longer but insomniac had to cut it short due to time restraints. Also the world was supposed to be a big world like the rest of the worlds and one of the levels was cut.
Tanner Allen yeah it's probably like 10 years old now if there is. But basically it's the reward for getting all skill points in Spyro 3. Gnasty and Ripto discuss the "Spyro Problem". Followed by a farewell from Insomniac Games.
I died SO MANY TIMES at the last two platforms that go into the wall. as a kid THIESE JUMPS were hard AF. you lose just a little time bounce one time at a wall and you cant make it anymore.. so frustrating.
I remember spending forever chasing Gnorc around, thinking that I wasn't catching up to him, and then going off to collect the rest of the treasure. I thought that maybe I had to collect everything to make him beatable. Then I had a hard time finding all the treasure and never bothered to check which places were empty and which were full. Woe is me...
lol nasty was so big it looked like his back was burned and was a pain with that green wand like weapon I remember beating him and spyro says your toast Gnorc xD I love my childhood
I think this is the only theme in this OST that doesn't have any of the other main melodies in it. Not that it's a bad thing, but it does help to differentiate this theme over those of the levels and the other bosses.
Is it bad I actually found Gnasty kind of difficult? Don't get me wrong, the thieves and him himself were easy, but in the lava area those retracting platforms killed me a few times and even when I got through, it had me seriously sweating...
Does any musician know what kind of percussions he used? I keep hearing this sound in the background that sounds like something metallic is being scratched rhythmically but not percussively
@DLonTV I've searched RUclips for "scraping cymbals", but the sound is nowhere near the same. What you say sounds more like a metal gate shrieking while being closed, what I talk about has an odd, funny sound that resembles more the skrieking of wood, but in an harmonic way.

Spanishdog17 I think that's the Brilliance of this game.
Spanishdog17 lol same here
They should have made his atacks do 1 hit kills, or make you unable to move for a short time.
Ag silver Radio Actually, yeah. The latter would probably work, especially considering that the whole thing is pretty much just a big chase. And include more points where he could blast you at.
That would make the game more intense.
0:00 just that Intro of Percussion there. Like Damn and then the Pure Build up, so much atmosphere.

that explains the unused tracks
I had to hold Square and X together in order to catch up to him, normal charging never seemed to do it.
When you beat Gnasty Gnorc, he turns into a purple gem worth 25.
Did... Did Gnasty Gnorc make a decoy of himself out of a gem?
You know, that would honestly explain how he easily survived to come back in later games honestly
cue xfiles theme
Jonathan Brown holy shit. Well in the extra ending of Spyro 3 it shows Gnasty and Ripto talking to each other about the Spyro Problem.
Is there a video of this?! :o

This theme is so memorable that you can recognize it easily as Gnasty Gnorc theme!!!
Pretty epic music for a showdown in which the foe just turns tail and runs away.
Given he shows up in a later game, I'm wondering if that was even the real one.

Gnasty Gnorc Is Back 21.9.2018 i´m ready for the next fight xD
Awesome playlist man, thank you for taking the time to upload all of these and in great quality too!
Those platforms are more challenging than Gnasty Gnorc himself.
We shoulda celebrated this video's birthday 6 days ago
lol nasty was so big it looked like his back was burned and was a pain with that green wand like weapon I remember beating him and spyro says your toast Gnorc xD I love my childhood
The bass in Hurricos from Spyro 2 has the same rhythm as the guitar here. This is so cool!
I remember chasing this big green fuck, and when i got him, the tense dissapeared.
Stop! I just wanna toast ya buns!!

It has Tree Tops in the background, listen carefully lol
@@badgerarmy966 Just the percussive sample tho dude
Feel the burn!
Those annoying thieves, even at the last level
alberto cobos hermosa na nanana na heh heh heh heh heh

oh god those retracting platforms were my worst nightmare.
Thing is I don't think it was about how easy it is to defeat him. They made it about getting to him.
@@3Darksamus Better than whatever was that shit we got for a final boss in Crash 2.
3Darksamus Yeah. Which kinda speaks about what Spyro 1 was about as a whole. The journey to the destination rather than the destination itself.
I never beat him. I tried so many times. Absolutely a difficult boss.
You're toasted! Ha ha ha!
I really thought we were about to have a final battle after all that chasing and then he just dies.
Dude's back is shaped like a dorito
Gnasty Gnorc disliked this video.
Leia Bradley LOL it should remain this way forever.
I never beat him..... my sister did tho... YA TO AMAZON I HAVE UN FINISHED BUSSNESS

why was i so afraid of gnasty when i first saw him, he is just a frog that eats to many Doritos.
Gnasty gnorc disliked it bc he lost to spyro
hold the charge button the level
Only 500 gems in this final battle
Fucking right, yo..
This is when I knew. At 6 years old.
This is when I became a man.
Boss sucked, but music never fails to deliver
why does he give less purple gems than jacques?
Awesome track, horrible boss fight
Agreed love the tricky platforms but hitting Gnasty with two hits, wow that sucks but the music is boss.
@@ricardohuff8774 I think it was deliberately easy for comedic effect :) All bark and no bite.
@@ts4595 tbf all of the bosses are pretty bad... except Metalhead.
