Really enjoyed this Video. My Father was a Light Operator in the Gizmo 736th tank battalion. He related many stories from living in the dessert and of course Odd Ball. The secrecy was off the chart.
My Dad was also a 736er, and knew your Dad well. Dad has been gone since 2016. He told us many stories about 8 ball the donkey, and had even put a memorial to 8 ball out at the camp probably 20 years ago.
Russ-first time poster here. I can’t tell you how much enjoyment I get from watching your videos. The combination of windshield camera, aerial drone, and pics of google maps, give me a front row seat to all the beauty this great country offers. That combined with the video title and commentary make for outstanding viewing. Thank you for putting in the time to create these exceptional videos.
My father is a WWll veteran. He will turn 99 in September. He did some training out west prior to going to the Pacific theater. Looking forward to showing him this episode. He resides in an assisted living facility in Greentown, In. He is able to watch RUclips on his large screen TV and I have him subscribed to you.
Wow, what a surprise to see Bouse show up in my suggested videos. I lived there in my early teens, back in the 80s. It was neat to see the A & C Mercantile again. My best friend and I would stop there every day after school to buy a snickers and a strawberry crush 😋. None of the museums or memorials were there then. The CoC has certainly been busy.
Russ, Thank you for taking all of us to Bouse. My Dad is a WWII Veteran , he was stationed in the Allusion Islands, he had pictures of the big green tent , he stayed in those.
Thank you for the tour of Bouse Memorial museum, families of service men and women should be very proud of their service. Great video and drone flights.
Thanks for this video. Was there 5 years ago. Need to go again. Nice Memorial of the men that served there many years ago. Nice meeting you at Sasnak & Hobotech camp a week ago. Was a fun night. Take care & be safe out there.
I'm on Plomosa Rd. Only a couple miles in and I am looking at a sign that reads " No overnight camping beyond this point", yet you stated that camping was allowed all the way to Bouse so which is it?
The remains Camp Bouse are open to visitors located about 10+ miles southeast of Bouse. No buildings but the foundations are there and the streets are still there. nice day trip. ( high clearance vehicle)

I'm sure you've heard this a million times by now. But you have the perfect airline pilot voice. It's a compliment.
Great timing with the birds flying away just before the planes. 13:28-13:38

Camp Bouse was located many miles to the NE of the town of Bouse.
That's what I was going to say. If you go towards Swansea Mine when you get to midway turn to your right. Best to have 4/4
@@pojotex6542 Yeah. I went there twice in the 1980's.

I've driven though Bouse many times, never knowing about any of this stuff.
Most of us miss so many things while hurrying to get someplace boring.

Plomosa rd camping stretches for 4 miles east from the 95 then the no camping area sign appears.
We are going here soon already been in planning stages
I saw lights on tanks in Vietnam. They looked a lot like huge Picture Tubes. I did not see them being used.
Thanks for sharing another great adventure with us. Mahalo, Russ. 🤙
So can you boon dock up there. ?? For how long??? Were you stating the park have all the electric and water and $$$
I'm so looking forward to the desert blooming!! -2 in Nebraska at this time
My dad was also WW2 vet
"Thank You Veterans & Arizona ! "Happy Valentines Day Rusty"
. TALK SOON.............YEA!
My grandfather trained out there. Interesting to see where he was as a young man.
I love seeing these local gatherings and services honoring those who came before us.
Being a WWII film maker is a calling that is hard to find.
Russ, when will the Spring bloom start?
Support the local merchants when you can folks.
It was Patton's idea, if we are going to fight in the desert we need to train in the desert.
Can just imagine those guys sitting on tanks. Thank you for wonderful video. Thank you veterans! Russ, have a great day!
I got a call on my phone from Bouse Az. I dont know anyone that lives there, I didnt answer it.
