Those impromptu rides are the best riding I’ve ever done. Just think about all those motorcycles who wished they were being ridden that day but remained parked in their garages under the dust covers with flat tires.

    Great scenery.
    I’m dying here ...
I still have too much snow & ice & more coming in MN.
My Versys is clean & ready to roll though.
    Living vicariously through your vids.
    Thank you. 👍

I'm sorry, man. That sucks. I don't love the rain here but at least I can still ride in it if I want to.

Just before you get to Alsea Falls campground there is a fun dirt road up to the right. Careful out there in August. 2nd weekend is a big bicycle run and they can be pretty hazardous. And know the rules about reservations there. You should try Mary's Peak road to Harlen / Burnt Woods. Connects hwy 20 and 34. Mixed road types. See you out there before long.

Good vid too cold for me right now though it's right there. I've been to all alsey a few times. Have you been to Marys Peak?

Is the versys 650 a reliable bike?
I need a bike for a big tour trough Europe...
    Peace out bikers

It's my understanding that they are. They have the same engine as the Ninja 650 so there's lots of them on the road still kicking.

no shits were given during this video.. hahaha had me rolling with all the shits

    • @DorkintheRoad
      @DorkintheRoad  6 лет назад

Yeah it was a little excessive. Combination of using the word "shit" to mean "debris" and not really planning on making a video of that part of the ride so I wasn't as self-censoring as I usually am.
I may have to do a "shit" supercut

Try that ride again in the summer. Way better. :)

I did it once last year but plan on hitting it up a few more times this summer for sure.

Also, if you don't mind adding another 30 miles or so, turn left on Alsea Deadwood highway, then right on Lobster Valley Road, then right on 5 rivers road to get back to 34. Lots of back country paved twisty fun.

    • @DorkintheRoad

I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Sorry Mr Jenson, Some folks cuss & some don’t.
      That’s just how life works.
Ya can’t have tender feelings around motor bikers & hot rodders. Notoriously rugged bunch.

      MIKE !
      You filthy filthy heathen.
I was light heartedly apologizing to Mr Jenson for we as motorbikesman occasionally may cuss when we are excited.
I was asking him to tolerate a cuss or two, not endure copious amounts of vulgar verbal abuse.
Tolerance Mikesman. Tolerance brotha. We can also be respectful of Mr Jensons disdain for cussing.
Sorry Mr. Jenson. I didn’t mean to start a “thing”
