- This time, I went to Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture to make a pilgrimage to the anime "Higurashi When They Cry".
(Shirakawa-go is the model place for Hinamizawa.)
The first season of Higurashi When They Cry aired in 2006.
And in 2020, the new anime (work, graduation) was broadcasted and it has just been attracting attention again.
Well, I couldn't take my eyes off the fierce battle between Satoko and Rika.
Aside from that, Shirakawa-go still has the places that appeared in the anime.
In addition, there are many Higurashi-related votive tablets displayed at the shrine, and Higurashi goods are sold in the shop.
Also, Shirakawa-go itself is a very fun sightseeing spot, so I honestly thought it was a sacred place that I could highly recommend.
