The reason is because Romania was not part of Schengen area the control is different......now they will be part of Schengen area by air and maritime point of entries.
Yeah I know about the Schengen area! Maybe I should've been clearer about what I'm talking about in the video. I meant that I had to go through passport control, which was weird, because Romania is still a EU country and I can technically travel there with just my ID. Since then I've flown to Romania again from a different airport, and that one for example had two lines, one for passport control and one for just ID. This I consider more reasonable
I understand that, but it's still weird that (for example) I have to go through passport control to fly to Romania, while technically I don't even need to have a passport to travel between EU countries, I can do that with just my ID. Soon I'll be flying back to Romania from a different airport than the one in the video, I'll see how it is there! ✨
Actually I know what you are saying, because it happened to me once. I came from London to Milano, staying for a weekend, then when I went back to London, I got a passport check in Italy, which I found very, very weird, because the passport check should happen in the UK not in Italy, but that time I got the passport check in Italy and in the UK, and it was really weird to me because that happened only in Italy.
Cool video!
Thanks ✨

Romania is not Spain or France where they always pretend that they are more than us Romania, but we are a lot safer than most countries in Europe.
Yeah I know! Which is why it's ridiculous that we need to go through extra control in the airport to fly to Romania ☠️
@@martinafacose it's because we are not in Schengen zone. Now you know 😉

@@martinafacose I really don't understand why they asked you for the passport. If you are Italian they shouldn't, I really don't see the point!!!
