3:18 I really wish that part was a bit louder on the final recording. I don't know what it is about it but it sounds so dramatic even if it's fairly simple. Love it.
I lost count for how many times I have come back to this video just to hear and see that part from 2:45 to 3:03 . This guitar riff and drum part is so exciting !!
Is it only me that finds very pleasing to the eye watching Sean doing these run throughs? What a talented player.. I have developed a very high appreciation for the guitar work in While she sleeps songs.
Me watching a playtrough: Looks like it would be easy for him. Maybe i should try how far i would make it. Also me 5 minutes after grabbing my guitar: Aaaaahhh! What the f**** is this?!?
So fucking sick Sean! Cant wait to see more from close up. Really highlights the creativity in some of the riffs and proves that Sleeps are unparalleled when it comes to creativity.
@@REbornDArth I like to slow down the song by 0.5 speed and learn it slowly. It also doesnt hurt to use a bit of creativity especially in songs that doesnt have playthroughs.I myself love the challenge of learning songs by ear, in fact I learnt this song by ear the day it came out. Keep trying and u will be amazed by how much u can do !
My favorite guitarist solely because his technique is so unique with how he integrates the whammy. As always, im stunned by his creativity For example, 3:20-4:00
So many bangin riffs from 2019 but for mine, the guilty party is the best riff and best song of 2019. Was no more then 2m away from this bloke playing this riff at the Polaris architects gig in Brisbane. Definitely a 2019 highlight for me.
@@BazzGamez i believe what he's doing there is what they call, if im not mistaken, "economy picking" look it up. Not easy off the bat sure, but once you practice it gets easier. And he has a tight technique for sure here.
How has no one mentioned seeing a run through of Good Grief?! That ending is amazing and it would be awesome to see that played. Regardless, this was cool as fuck and I hope yo guys put out more of these.
@@rossmusic25 dude every band wich want a good sound guitar/bass from metallica to almost every actual band only use one person to record the guitars and bass. Fact and I know what i'm saying. Gain of time, digital editing, more accuracy
Seems like a different dude from 'civil isolation' play through. There might be hints of why during the so what doco they put out. Although that energy or excitement feels jacked, this guys love for evolving His play style has never slowed Giving this vid a thumbs up This band is a pretty incredible machine with a lot of heart. They deserve their dues. But also, some time off touring
Amazing... Playing the guitar is something I guess I'll never be able to do... Especially on this level. But then again I couldn't imagine myself driving a car before I did it so I guess I should start this as well and see how far I get :D
You guys make one of the greatest metal musics of all time dude! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a guitar rundown of ELEPHANT... Would really appreciate it dude... Cheers!!
i like how stuff that some guitarrists did back in the day in solos is more and more getting into the music itself i remember watching a video of a band called dio and their guitar solo which was so skilful jet off and not fitting into the music but in here it makes perfect sense
This is the first guy I've seen use the Whammy5 in the way I knew I wanted to when it first came out. The Wh5 is the first version that doesn't warble out of tune at all when really used, making it vastly more useful for writing purposes than it's predecessors in ways that I hope to see utilized by more guitarists in the future.
Currently learning this got a lot of the parts done no where near putting it all together though but god I love Sean's style of playing it's my favourite out there followed by the guys from lamb of god
He did a gear rundown video when they released you are we and he talks about his lead tones, and one of them is the exact same as seven hills. This was when he moved from the 6505 (which was used to record this is the six) to the JVM (used to record you are we). Don't know if they still use JVMs but he has kept that lead tone. It's like his signature tone so he's used it or something close to it on all of the albums. Sorry for the essay answer.
the level of creativity on some of those guitar parts is insane!!!
I was coming here to say this!
Masterpiece ❤
That´s why I love them :) they are unique
*Sean's pinky has left the chat*
I can't not help but notice this now, damn you. It's my cardinal sin when I play guitar as well xD
raidbosshobb lmao I know, but I guess it’s what he is comfortable with. He needs to use it more .
On the other hand I have to use forcedly the little finger since my index finger does not work :(
He’s got small hands. Needs that pinky outta the way to reach some of those frets towards the base of the neck.
02:19 MY HEART JUST SMILED SO WIDELY
3:18 I really wish that part was a bit louder on the final recording. I don't know what it is about it but it sounds so dramatic even if it's fairly simple. Love it.
That intro riff goes so hard
The use of Whammy pedal is madness! Love It!
I know right, didn't how he made it sound so cool, now I know. Definitely inspiring!

PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE!!!
The album is simply a 10/10. The creativity is just outstanding and this upload shows it. I hope they continue to play this style a little longer.
by far my favorite guitarist!
Those kisses at the end
next elephant or ive seen it all, or inspire, or gates of paradise, or... shit, i just want another run through. damn!
That Damn Riff! Hell yes!
Favourite song on the album. Love the clean parts.
If you ever go see them live, make sure that you go stand right in front of Sean. It's a hell of a show watching him work for two hours.
WELCOME TO THE GUILTY PARTY!
Absolute beast of a song! This play through makes it even better
still listening in 2024
Great job mister. This is trully unique style combining hardcore, metalcore, punk, pop and using whammy - thinking outside the box.
favorite metal band of all time thank you guys for the bangers
Best Guilty Party cover so far
Is it only me that finds very pleasing to the eye watching Sean doing these run throughs? What a talented player.. I have developed a very high appreciation for the guitar work in While she sleeps songs.
Thanks Sean! You are the best!

Mood right here me everytime
lol true
I tried silence speaks and I kinda lost hope for 2 days
I would stop at the crazy tuning. 😄
Omg same.. xd
So fucking sick Sean! Cant wait to see more from close up. Really highlights the creativity in some of the riffs and proves that Sleeps are unparalleled when it comes to creativity.
Sean you're an absolute monster, I had so much fun learning that opening riff
The guitar playing on this song is awesome. Great riffs.
Well I'll add this to the list of songs I'll never be able to play :')
That’s the spirit!

Incredible melodies, and cool walkthrough. Thank you
Thst riff is awesome! Sean is a sick guitarist
THIS IS FUKKKIN INCREDIBLE MASTERPIECE!!! THE BEST SONG OF WSS EVER!!!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!
You're growing on me as my favorite writer. As I lay dying and August burns red were my favorite but this is so creative and sick. Love it
God damn Sean your fucking amazing . thank you for coming to fl man. love you guys. please come back.

Didn't expect this tunning. This riff sounds catchy AF.
Mate this is fucking awesome. Great song overall, but absolutely loving the guitar parts. Riff-tastic. \m/
Love this riff! ❤❤
Man that lick at 1:43 is devilishly good. 🥵
Anyone still listening in 2023 🤘❤️
2024 still atleast a couple time a week

I will still be listening this album in the afterlife. At least 4 times a week 😂❤
When he started playing air drums I was actually so happy loll
My idol since 2011... this is sick, Thankyou for keeping me motivated

Awesome song 🔥 Greeting to you from Russia, guys!
Upstroke game stronger than James Hetfield's downstroke game
Yeah, he uses a lot of upstrokes,
Interesting...
yeah ive been trying to copy this but i suck at those upstrokes man
time stamp?
I've always been weak at downpicking, so dabbling with alternate picking and upstrokes has always been my go-to

2:18 is just beautiful
Would be nice if you could make bass playthrough of anti-social.
I'm pretty sure he is the one recording all the instruments

MUAAAACH 😘
Thank you dear Sean!
My favorite banda at the moment
The tapping with the whammy octave sounds evil as hell.
I was trying to learn this. 220bpm and I swear his hands are on aderall. Insanely creative song.
I love his style as he playing on the guitar
your music makes me happy....Saludos desde Ecuador

Whammy pedal is great invention actually, loveee that sound
I don‘t think I‘ll ever understand how to write amazing stuff like that
he sure does love his whammy
to Sean and the other guitarists in here! Is the guitar sound(effect wise) at 2:19 the same as the sound at 3:20 or the intro of seven hills?
