    The old Territory looks more upscale due to its Range Rover-like looks. The new gen can be mistaken for a China-brand model. Improved interior, Increased size and space, and upgraded engine is good though,

      It's actually a pure Ford product and isn't a derivative of something else.
      It was made in a venture with JMC but it uses a lot of Ford parts.
      Although that doesn't necessarily makes the car reliable (like seriously, when has any Ford car been reliable?), I would much rather trust this than the all American made ones or even put this thing on par or even better than the Thai made ones.

    Hi. If it's possible, can you guys do a night drive test too? It will be helpful to see how the headlights perform too, specially if one does night provincial road driving. Thanks to consider. Not just limited to this car but if you can include that in your reviews of other vehicles, that will be awesome.

    • @poiXquared
      @poiXquared Год назад +3

      I've seen a lot of motorcycle reviews to say that the camera literally does not give the headlights justice. Especially in video without doing extensive post processing. Maybe a photo can get close to what the naked eye can see. Still, I agree that including that segment would be informative, it has been so with the aforementioned motorcycle reviews I've seen. They just need to put in extra work to give the headlights proper exposure so we can get a perspective on how it actually looks instead of just taking Caco's word for it.

    Ouch that Titanium X price. The 1.3M price tag with all the ADAS and safety features was what the made the previous Territory so popular. But price aside, it's was as good as the previous one made even better with the DCT. The dial gear shifting needs getting used to though.

      What's wrong with the parts being made in China?
      You do know China is one of the biggest suppliers of OEM parts, right?
      They're just as if not even better than those sourced somewhere else.
      Manufacturers aren't as stupidly biased as you who view quality being equal to the nation it comes from.
      They're literally all equal and I can even go so far as to say that Chinese parts will most likely outperform American OEM Ford parts.

    I have a concern with the rotary shifter. What if a kid suddenly turns that knob? Goodbye transmission?

    • @enjoymikee
      @enjoymikee Год назад +1

      Kids should be buckled up in the rear seats thus the scenario you mentioned should be highly unlikely. But to answer your question, if this rotary shifter has the same tech as what Ford has had even in older models such as the 2018 Fusion; it will have a lock out function preventing accidental shifts to P or R.
      As far as rotary gear shifters are concerned, others are even smart enough to not engage P or R when you are traveling forward at certain speeds and you ‘accidentally’ rotate the knob. Meaning you can turn it but it just wont engage and will display some sort of warning message on your instrument cluster panel.
      So it depends on the implementation in this model. Maybe we’ll know the exact details if they cover it on the actual test drive.

    So they decided to not have physical buttons for air controls, and despite haptic feedback, you'd still have to look at the controls.
    They also decided to use the knob for the drive selector BUT for put it within proximity of the volume button..... Why?

    I hope that you'll include the advanced safety tech on this Territory on your next video. I noticed it has a radar sensor in front so it means it has adaptive cruise control and AEB. I hope you can show that the way you showed Honda Sensing. For me, that's a deal-breaker. For long drives I like to have ACC so I don't have to step on the gas and the brakes while driving.

    Frankly the current model is more value for the money. The Titanium X costs 300k more than the current Titanium and really the only differences in features are the wireless charging, power tailgate, and cooling seats(?). Even the new Titanium has less features than the current Titanium as it has no panoramic sunroof and ACC. Subjective, but I like the exterior of the current model more as this one looks like any other SUV on the road. Interior of this new one is definitely better though, but features wise it’s really roughly the same

    Rotating knob for a shifter? That's gonna take a while getting used to. Then another rotating knob close by? The driver better not be distracted while trying to shift or adjust volume or it could lead to missing the proper knob. Imagine just wanting to adjust the volume (volume adjuster, right?) but accidentally going for the shifter? Of course, i could be wrong and that such unfortunate event is not at all possible. But why could they not stick with the conventional shifter? It's almost like that mouse-like shifter in the Nissan Kicks.....a deal breaker for me.

    • @logmeinhere

      I skipped yung Territory sa list ko nung naghahanap ako ng bagong car kasi ang daming complaints from owners sa FB group ng territory. Same goes with the MG, tapos to a lesser extent yung Geely coolray din. Kaya I opted for japanese brand na lang. If I was to pick among those 3, Coolray pipiliin ko.
      As for this new Territory, only time will tell kung reliable siya.
