This video and this period of time was the absolute peak of asmr. Now everything is overly saturated and overly intentional. Back when it was still experimental and “on the down low” was when it was the best. It truly was an art. Now too many people have found out it is easy money to make “asmr” on RUclips and they have ruined it.

Why do people feel the need to comment about Maria in such a sexualised way? She makes these videos to induce ASMR, not an erection. If you find yourself aroused by an ASMR video, then whatever, good for you, arousal is healthy and natural, but there is a time and place for everything and a little self restraint goes a long way. Show a little respect for Maria, especially when she puts so much effort into her wonderful videos.

Well personally I think she's very pretty, but I understand your point. She is not that kind of girl and it frustrates me so that people have to make everything about sex.

I cannot even count how many times I have watched this video. My favorite part is at the end when you display the journal. That soft vinyl (plastic) package it comes in gives me major tingles -- especially when you run your finger down each seam of the package after you take the journal out. What I also find strange is the act of you straightening things, counting things, aligning things, pressing things to get crisp folds, etc also gives me major tingles too. I'd love to see more of those vinyl packages in future videos. You're the queen of ASMR Maria.

Maria-- I am so impressed with your English skills. When you were displaying the second purse you described the zipper as "grainy" and I thought how I myself wouldn't have been able to think of a descriptor for its texture on the spot like that, and I'm a native English speaker. Fairly sure I have watched this video at least 30+ times at this point - I watch it fairly often as to fall asleep, because you absolutely nail the sound and feeling of the soft-spoken shopping channel ladies, hand flouishes and all. Probably the first time, though, that I even noticed you had painted your nails a golden shade - as if to compliment the gold detailing on the bags. Very clever, and classy.

This is one of my favorite videos by Maria, in part because she goes in between soft spoken and whispering, and the soft spoken is so soft and slow, it’s brain-melting! And I love the visuals, too, and the sounds of the bags.

After watching this for years and begging for more, I realized that it's not the purses I want more of. It's the purposeful tracing of different objects. Waving the hands around randomly in the air doesn't do it. Tracing letters in words doesn't do it either. It's what she does with these objects--the handling of them. (It's also her best voice work that renders this video so soporific.) So please, Maria, just do what you do to these purses to other objects in new videos please!

I adore that sticky hard plastic stuff, it's so nice to listen to haha. Love this! If I can't watch ASMR at that time I'll put on the shopping channels to have some quiet background noise (my favourite is Create and Craft for those in the UK!). They always used to relax me as a child, especially when I had sleeping difficulties
Home shopping channels is how I used to experience ASMR. As a kid in the 80s I used to sit mesmerized. Just a few months ago my husband was on a business trip and I was stressed out, and I turned on QVC in the evenings. This was before I knew what ASMR was. So this role play is very fitting. :)
