For the essay question, can I say that technology has helped humans to connect with each other across places all around the world? Technology can also help to deliver messages to humans which can help the message travel around faster? And its human's instinct and desire to control things such as technology but sometimes technology can make things unpredictable.

Hi Ada! It’s good to see how you’re balancing Hughes’s thoughts of both the pros and cons of technology. I think you could strengthen your essay by focusing more on nature as well! How despite what we build/create, we cannot ‘beat’ nature and the cycle of life…death is inevitable -> you could quote the final line of the poem as supporting evidence. You should also think about your personal response as a ‘modern day’ reader - do you think technology has more advantages or disadvantages? Why?
