I was quiet sure how to wire up those fans, because the instruction foldout, delivered with the cooler, was somewhat unclear in that regard. So I only had to use the 2 splitter cables. 1 connecting the power input of the fans to the cpu header of my Asus ROG Strix B550-F motherboard and the other from the 3 pin ARGB connectors of the fans to the 3 pin Aura addressable Gen 2 header of the Mainboard. Your explanation was much clearer and easier to understand than what was shown on the foldout.
Thanks for your review! I got it for my first Gaming PC build and it's Amazing! It looks great, excellent build quality and keeps my PC cool and quiet exactly what I wanted and with full ram clearance too.
Informative. I recommend applying a limiter filter to your audio. You have a very relaxed voice, which means cranking up the volume to hear you, but them music comes on bumpin.
Great review. I currently have a Hyper 212 Black edition on a Ryzen 2700x, thinking of upgrading to this cooler. Was nice to see it on a 5600x, that's going to be the next processor upgrade for me.
Thanks for the video. Helped me a lot to decide. I was using AIO and it failed. Going back to Air Cooler and this fits perfectly to my requirements. Thanks again.. Great review and subscribed :)
@Christopher Flanning PERFECT timing for me to see this, and the comparison to the Noctua! Then its a deal! Will get the Coolermaster, which is on Black Week discount, for changing out the cooler on my old 5820k PC :)
I love your videos, Chris! Excellent presentation! Everything is always so clean looking and your pc's always look amazing when theyre complete! Curious what do you do with all these pc's when youre done building them?
WOW! That is a mind-blower that CoolerMaster actually preforms better than Noctua... you get the RGB as a bonus too..not such thing with Noctua. How powerful of a CPU would you feel comfortable using this kind of fan solution vs. water?
I'm using it on a Intel I7 11700 with RTX 3080 Tuf and all Corsair QL120 fans. It keeps my PC running cool and quiet even under load. It's 35 degrees idle and under 64 degrees under load barely even hear the fans when playing games. It's awesome. Got it on sale too so it was well worth it.
I got this brand new but all fine work only one problem I had that fan had a kinda weird smells even it's comes while pc off was that smells wear off or do I have changed to new fans it's not burning just a plastic smells
I just installed this cooler. The stand on the right side relative to the cooler did not want to be screwed in. What I've done? I placed one of the racks in the position of the AM3 socket and only then was I able to screw the cooler: D
I have a asus tuf gaming b550-plus mobo and have installed the bracket but it’s very lose its not secured to the board? What could be the problem for this? Thanks
Mine came with the fans mounted on the heat sink,it's too stiff can take the fans off, you simply PUSHED the fans into place? How do you take them off?
I feel like this cooler has max tdp at 200w to 210w while nh d15 can go up to 275w It's physcially impossible for a lower mass heatsink, shorter heatpipe to win nh d15.
Thank you for your review! Have you tried taking of the plastic cover and could tell us how tall the cooler is? I considered getting it for my NR200P, as it is supposed to be small enough without the cover to fit with the tempered glass.
How is this thing in 2022? 1) Anyone with an Alder Lake processor try thing out? (e.g. Core i9 - 12900k) 2) Would you get this over a Gigabyte Aorus ATC800 cooler?
Thanks for such an in depth video. Went ahead and jumped into my build and I skipped the cord for the motherboard argb connector so I was wondering why my fans weren't lighting up while they were spinning lol. The rbg connectors threw me off since that's kind of new since I did my last pc build.
My RGB controller doesnt work for me. The only color I get is green, and thats it. Anyone with the same problem + any tips? It should always boot on the rainbow RGB.
Are you controlling it through motherboard software? I have Asus Tuf motherboard and have to control that Cooler Master Air cooler through Asus Crate/ Asus Aura Software but I have to control my fans separately on Icue Software.
I must always laughting because everytime you say master air cooler, always only comes out master air killer, I thought I look forged in fire where this guy always say this weapon will keal "kill"^^. But thx for that video and info.
Hi, I bought this some days ago... My motherboard has not rgb pin connectors, so I have to use the rgb controller included... But, can I buy other controller to set up more rgb effects, cos for me, also like you, there is not enought effects (I dont like them, cos I want a static color) Or what should I do to setup propperly rgb effect?
can it work with i7 12700 with full load i try many and they fail you know its 180W processor if it can handle it with full load please tell me was think to get NH D15 but after i see this i need your answer and thanks
How would this compare to a 240mm aio on the 5600X ? for example the cooler master ml240 illusion or the lian li galahad 240mm when it comes to thermal performance ?
Hey there, question. The only possible connector I was able to apply the Rgb cable, was below the GeForce graphics card. Is is it possible this is the right one? Also the connector and the one on the cable - with 3 pins, is very tight and very easy to break one of those pins. Any recommendations how to attach the cable to the motherboard?
Does someone know if this cooler is compatible with am5? The page says its compatible without anything and that you need the upgrade kit at the same time lol
Hi. I bought this exact cooler. Two question. The arrows on both fans point inwards towards the heatsink. Shouldn't one be pointing outwards? The red connector has 4 pins and the black 3... which one goes to which fan? Thanks.
Have you an example how loud/silent it is? My stock cooler makes a wopping 63 dB. Is it a significant difference between 50dB and 63? As I remember it correctly, every 3dB is almost a doubling in noise?
Why didn't the manufacturer indicate the TDP ?????????????????????????????? I see it for the first time. so that even on the official website of the manufacturer there is not even an approximate TDP? How can you get it on the go. not knowing TDP ?????????????????????????
The NH-D15 is a 100 quid over here, and even though I do not see an MA612 Stealth listed yet, they look like they cost the same. That'll be a definitive deal breaker, because a dual AIO at the same performance is 20-25% cheaper.
@@ChristopherFlannigan I completely agree that it's an amazing feat to have put the same performance in such a compact form factor, and I can not stress how much we'd be better off with RGB fans that can be bought with blades that can blow either way without having to expose their backsides, but the cooler is still too expensive for its own good, which is something it shares with the NH-D15. Do people still buy NH-D15s? Yea they do, but more people would if the price would be more sane. I never liquid cooled any of my computers and I've been responsible for building my own since 2008, so I belong in their potential target group.
@@NotCommanderShepard It already is, just look them up on amazon. And I think it was this very reason why it was compared to it. Because they cost the same, so they better should perform the same.
@@dominic.h.3363 I didn't expect it to perform the same as the NH-D15. After seeing it, it's not so crazy. Looks like a good alternative for people who like RGB.
Hey christopher, I'm not trying to tell you how to run your channel but I really think you'd benefit from a lapel mic or some sound absorbing material in your studio. I really love your videos but the echo-y audio when you talk at full volume is quite noticable. Again not trying to be mean. Just give constructive criticism.

does it fit in the nr200? without the side mount bracket of course.

Tdp?
