Next Up for Top Rank Boxing, WBC/WBO/IBF light heavyweight king Artur Beterbiev now has a date to defend his crown. After recent dental surgery forced Beterbiev to postpone his Aug. 19 title defense against former world champion Callum Smith, the two will now meet Saturday, Jan. 13 at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada.
#beterbievsmith and the co-feature will be televised live on ESPN. Undercard action will stream exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+.

What a humble guy beterbiev ❤️, i don't say now after fight😊
Beterbiev is not gonna fight like Canelo. He is going to push Smith to the ropes immediately. This will be a much better fight than Canelo-Smith fight. I believe Beterbiev's game plan would be defending himself against left hook of Smith. And that's pretty much it. Even if Smitch catches Beterbiev with his left hook and Beterbiev sees the canvas, Beterbiev is too strong to be knocked out. Eventually Beterbiev is going to KO Smith and improve his resume to 20-0.
Beterbiev doesn't fight like Canelo. Canelo dominated Callum the whole fight. Beterbiev might just finish him cause he's bigger with more power

Just like Teddy Atlas said in a recent video, Beterbiev is the Equalizer :) I remember a video where Georges St-Pierre (GSP), who is an MMA legend and Canada resident, met Beterbiev as Beterbiev became a Canada resident too and there GSP said Beterbiev does not drink alcohol, no clubs, just training and praying in the gym. Actually Teddy Atlas also said Beterbiev is like Khabib (MMA) recently. Beterbiev looks like God's warrior in the ring, an invincible man. I will never forget once Beterbiev was knocked down by a boxer, whom Beterbiev knocked out eventually in the same fight, and after the fight Beterbiev was just saying he liked to be knocked down as it's a new experince for him. Beterbiev is so arrogant-free and God definitely favors these kind of guys. Considering Beterbiev is already a beast in the ring, with extra juice from God due to his personality, it becomes impossible to win against Beterbiev.@@garygraham2934

@@fightsforrights9744 Callum has spent most of his career at super middleweight and has moved up to light heavyweight for his last few fights. Beterbiev was a heavyweight in the amateurs and has spent all his career at light heavyweight. Beterbiev is clearly the bigger guy draining down (sometimes having difficulty making weight e.g. Browne fight) or are you just looking at height? In which case Fundora should be a heavyweight! Boxing is categorised by weight classes not height classes!
@thesquaredcircle6076 Yes you're right about the height. What I am seeing is that Callum is the bigger guy naturally, he doesn't have to force himself to make the supermiddleweight limit. Imo he looks more comfortable at this weight and probably should have been at this weight even before the Canelo fight. I can see him winning this.
@@fightsforrights9744 I'm not sure what weight either fighter walks around at out of the gym but I would assume Beterbiev walks around heavier (because he has been able to compete at heavier weight classes) so technically it would make more sense that he would be the bigger guy naturally.
Also having fought at a heavier weight class it would also mean he is used to heavier punches than Smith who is literally going in against the hardest puncher in the division.
@thesquaredcircle6076 I do agree with you in that sense but what I'm seeing here is that Callum Smith is at this current time carrying the weight better. I have been wrong before though 😆. I will be watching the fight I have ESPN 😊.
