Several thoughts. The name “Humbug”…. It means liar, right? Like when someone talks bs and so you exclaim, humbug! How is that a peppermint flavor? Minty toffee sounds refreshing actually. I love learning these cultural idiosyncrasies. Secondly, I related to your quick unfiltered commentary on the sewage dumping in British beaches. Relatable! Nothing irks me more than living somewhere known for our mountains-rainforests-nature and the way people politicians and corporations regularly dump into our oceans and forests without conscience. I’m regretting now not adding Petticoat Lane to my samples I bought. I read the notes and didn’t think it’s for me but the way you describe it, it sounds really interesting. Ah well, 😅. Yes, I'd say more nonsense a less severe liar. It's not a word we use anymore 🤣 Well not an everyday word. Now the sweet? Maybe it looks like the beetle? But again that would be a weird name for a sweet. You'd have to taste them, unusual old people sweets that I love 😂. Yes in 50yrs when half the world is underwater they'll judge us that it's all been done for profit. There's literally no reason to dump sewage and chemicals. We already pay them enough. And tbf... The companies? Why would they spend money. It's the utter corruption of our governments. Yes Petitcoat Lane grew on me alot it's gorgeous 😍
