First time I ever saw a Unimog, was at the Royal Welsh agricultural show during the ‘70s. I remember thinking as it went through its paces, that it was an amazing vehicle. I wondered how a vehicle could do such things. Over the years, my opinion has not changed. As of 2023, I’m still in awe of the different variations, many uses and continued innovation. But perhaps of all, I’ve remained impressed, at just how good that 1970s Unimog was and how good the original concept must have been. There are many imitators but none as good nor lasted so well as the Unimog.
