Happy New Year, my toque wearing savage from the Great White North friend :) Yes, that is indeed my pet name for Canadians haha. I've had this for ages, but only played it co-op once--my buddy and I got our asses kicked. Played it a few times solo, always fun. I was looking at the GI Joe version, but figured I already have this and don't play it that much.
I've eyed the GI Joe version as well, but never pulled the trigger because I have this one. I've heard the GI Joe is less fiddly, but don't know if I will ever shell out for it. Thanks for watching along!
This game is not bad, but I really, really do recommend the G.I. Joe Deckbuilding game. Simpler rules and much less fidly than this one. In the G.I. Joe one, you actually board transports to go on missions and it works with keywords and transport iconography to get extra dice. Type of cards are joes, gear, transports and utilities. Missions makes much more sense because it's not always about defeating a Cobra officer, but they DO show up to mess with you. If you fail the mission, you have a penalty but you move on. So failing missions helps defeat come faster, but you can win even if you failed a couple of missions. Your recruits go on top of your draw deck, so you always have them in hand next turn. Also, each die you have a 50/50 chance to hit with one face that has a double hit. Also, well.. the real G.I. Joe IP.
The GI Joe version sounds great too. I just don't know if I can justify it as well as this one. I'm accumulating so many games with not enough time to actually get to them. Maybe in the future I'll revisit GI Joe deck builder again. Hmm. Thanks for watching along!
@@PaulDarcy Right. But I think you really like deckbuilding games. I do too. I put the G.I. Joe one on top of the Legendaries. It is my favorite deckbuilding of all time.
I've never seen this game before but it looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing you do the playthrough. Have you ever done a playthrough of Sentinel's of the multiverse definitive edition?
I've never done Sentinels of the Multiverse, as I don't have that game. I do have virtually everything for it in computer game form, so never felt the need to get the board game version.
You really should retire those commandos every turn. They only give 1 recruit value and aren't better than anything else really for leading or support. There's also little reason to not try killing Venom Commander every turn. His ability does not affect himself at all and he has low health and defense. He will draw 5 support cards but you could get lucky and have those supports not help him a ton and still beat him with starter cards.
True. It's possible to get lucky with the Venom support cards. And I'm hanging on to the basic cards for a bit . . . um, yeah. Ha ha! Thanks for watching along!
Starting the New Year off right I see! Thanks for another play through, Paul!
So many games! So little time! Thanks for watching along!
I had been hoping this would hit the table again! Thank you for all the great playthroughs. Down with Venom!
It's been too long! Time to kick Venom's backside again . . . wait, did we win the last two times? Ha ha! Thanks for watching along!

This game looks like a hell of a lot of fun!
It's super fun and challenging to boot! Thanks for watching along!
Congrats to all the winners!
I am of the confused.
How do the tracks work art looks good on the cards?
