You inspired me to declutter my coat/shoe cupboard yesterday. I had been putting it off I’m not going to lie! However, I set my timer, turned up the radio and before I knew it it was done! Literally the magic timer!! 💕🖖🏻
I can't thank you enough for your videos! I've done flylady on and off for years but it never really clicked until I started watching your videos. The peace and joy in how my house looks now and how it's spilled over into other areas of my life are incredible!! I have even been able to let people in that've dropped by unexpectedly AND be ok with it!! lol that never happened before! I literally thank God for finding your videos!
Hey, I just paused the video and I decluttered my wine (drinks) cabinet. I realized I had been keeping a bottle of Martini and a bottle of liquer since my wedding 34 years ago. They're gone. Thanks.
Its my 3rd time now in zone 1, an its really making a difference, my front entrance took no time at all to clean an that included the windows, its working for me, I'm flapping my wings now and f!ying, thanks to you Diane I'm finding it easier to let things go, bags all ready to drop off at the charity shop, go made! xx
I used the morning to decorate the front of house for fall. Corn stalks, pumpkins, and chrysanthemums are cheerful display to greet guests. I will work on the lawn at the back door later today.
I live in the states and my family always took their shoes off before coming in the house. Once I got married and had my own home it’s been the same way in my home as well!
I have never hesitated to throw out chipped china, crockery and glassware since I found out it brings negative feng shui into your home... so you've been doing the right thing all along Diane! :) So admire you and your besties for sitting in your birthday suits completely uninhibited of each others presence and accepting of each others shape. Friends worth keeping for sure :) I'm tackling my linen tablecloths and excessive number of wine glasses tomorrow- hopefully I will manage to part with a couple? And tak for the reminder to be one step ahead.. we're hitting 25 degrees tomorrow (woohoo) but I've suddenly realised I haven't thought about pulling lighter clothes out for a refresh (gasP!) Hi, Diane, how little things can change the area around...I've always a bad conscience just to listen to you, so I grabbed a few things around while watching you, and hurray, i found my dearly missed 5 th knitting needle and...some other things;-). The removal of shoes and putting on slippers is very much what's done in Japan. Schools have special lockers for that very reason. Students place their street shoes into the locker and put on their inside shoes.
Diane, I've wondered this since I discovered you. How do you keep your hair and makeup nice when skinny dipping in a cold water open sea? I can't swim, have NO interest in it, but have wondered. My British husband (I"m American, from Oregon) is fascinated with your stories I tell him, too. He's a fish and finds it fascinating that you do this. When we married, it was late July in OR, it was 96F that day for a week afterward, we took his 2 kids and my youngest 2 to the beach and he and his kids changed into swimming suits and RAN to the ocean. My sons and I just watched them, arms folded over chests, waiting for it.....they came back, yelping about how old it was! The water comes straight down from Alaska. For hours, his daughter kept muttering, 'It's so cold! It's just so cold! It's so hot outside, but it's so COLD!' LOL Do you wear a cap when swimming?
Wish I could send you some of our unseasonable 82 degrees F today! West Michigan weather has hit record highs the past month or two. Don't have an ocean to enjoy but we have Lake Michigan an hr away. We go there often... Funny how we are drawn to bodies of water that way.
Well, I'm Aries (a ram) and I'd be there every day if I could. I make up for not having the sea nearby by taking Epsom salts baths... haa! ... not ice cold ones though...yet. :)

I have a question. ..I am doing well with the easy, instructions you share....but I have company every few weeks and when I do they stay with me for several days?. Should I worry about keeping to my schedule? I do pretty good but don't want to work around my family. They help out too...it's just a bit cluttered. I love having them here. I am using scratch cover for my dining set this week to be ready for the holidays! I plan to touch up by zones.

No, we don't wear caps...we just try to keep our heads out of the water and avoid surprise waves! LOL!
