@@amiothenes I already started learning it on my own using the natural method with LLPS but I'm curious on how you simulate immersion and use anki to improve learning
@@braker50 Reading with LLPS is already good since it is some kind of immersion. I will post more on the subject but check this video: ruclips.net/video/bfZkzeOy6G4/видео.html if you haven't already. It explained some tips on the 'Refold' and immersion. I also have an Anki series guide on the channel if you're interested.
Great video! Might I ask, do these methods work for other languages as well? As of the moment, I am trying to acquire the Russian language and figure out how to get started with the Refold method.
Of course, Refold works for other languages! You can look at this video for more Refold info: ruclips.net/video/bfZkzeOy6G4/видео.html I will be making a better guide for the Refold Method in the future, so stay tuned!
Excited to see your continued journey. I've been going through LLPSI before discovering refold. I think this will be good for some additional guides and resources. Thanks for the content! I'm new to discord and had trouble getting on the Refold Latin server. Does it exist or did I just vote for it to exist in the future?
Thanks for your kind words! Refold Discord Latin exists, you have to click on the Latin "flag" on the "Start-here" page and there will be a "Latin" page show up at the very end of the list. For me, it took a while to show up but make sure you have the flag voted.
I dont understand beside reading what is the point of language learning in this day and age. Sure you can learn the language for fun, or to impress people and its good for brain. but only particle reason to learn a langauge is to read. Learning a language for communication is biggest waste of time. In today's world only language you need for communication is english. out of 7.6 billion people, 1.34 billion speak English thats about 17.7%. In 10 years that number will be doubled. Only reason to learn a language is to read. And for that a classical language such as latin or sanskrit can offer you much more than any living language
Sure you can learn to only read in a language but if you're good is to master it, then other branches of the language would need to be learnt as well such as communication and listening. I understand your concern with the uselessness of language learning besides English, but I would say that there's still a benefit to learn other languages. You can't only count that others will learn your language, but you need to do the same effort. Latin, Greek etc are also good options of languages to learn because one can read original ancient texts!
@@amiothenes you missed his point. I dont understand in what context you said that "you can't count that other will learing your langauge, but you need to do the same effort" The guy is not expecting anyone to learn his language. He is stating the fact that English is a globle lingua franca and its number of speakers will only going to be increased. Also what is the point of saying that latin greek ect are a good option when he already said in his comment that a classical language can be the most beneficial when it's come to reading ????
@@tsarvladimirputin409 I was agreeing with him Putin, that's why I repeated. Notwithstanding English growing in popularity, I still find learning languages fun.

No problem! Feel free to give any video suggestions that you would like to see in the future.
I had never heard of this method before. Sounds very solid. I want to know how you start with this method, hope you can continue this series soon!
For sure! Are you planning to study Latin or already studying it?
