They say there's no such thing as a coincidence. I believe it all happened for a reason. Meeting that man with such a similar situation as yours was meant to be. I hope you feel better, Darrin. ❤

I feel the same way. I lost my first husband due to leukemia. He was 44 and I was 40. I lost my 2nd husband to a massive heart attack when I was 59. So I've experienced the long goodbye and no goodbye. I look at all of the interactions that I have with people and things and believe they all happen for some reason. We don't understand some and some we do. Keep moving forward and blessings to you.

Hey Teresa! First off, the Template (If you've already seen this, please disregard the first part of the message) This is Darrin, (Brittany's husband) She passed this January this year from Kidney Cancer. We filmed a lot of videos and Brittany wanted to upload them, and she was able to do so for awhile. But as she got sicker, she wasn't able to post them anymore. By the time she passed away, we were a year and some change behind in videos. So now, it's on me. I'm posting everything we filmed. And there's a lot! And I've got more to go, too! You'll notice on every video I list the date, including the year that the film was taken to help avoid confusion! The one you watched was from 8/6/2023.
The story is wild. God shows up in big ways (sneak back to episode 22.5 if you want to hear why I think you should keep watching despite the fact that she's gone) and God shocks EVERYONE in our lives.
Brittany wanted to touch lives, and she felt called to do these videos, and would often say if she could touch just 1 life, then it would have all been worth it. I hope you continue watching along with us for the journey! We do, get a miracle... a HUGE one. (Episode 80 and forward) It just wasn't quite what we expected. You've messaged me riiiiight at the point in the story where we see God move in some amazing ways! I hope you continue watching!
(Okay, now that's out the way) You're another fellow Professor of the Literature persuasion! Hey! lol. I taught low level comp classes in Louisiana before I moved to Mississippi several years back. Welcome to the journey! I hope you stick around with us for awhile! Thank you for your comment and blessings! I really appreciate it. And, I'm so sorry that you've had to experience this battle too... It's not easy. And you've gone through it twice!

@@Beyond_Cancer yes. I know why you are doing this and the stories do matter. They matter in Brittany’s memory and this is a way of honoring her. She will always be your love. I pray in time you love again but I have learned that love grows and there is always room. What a blessing that you are able to do this for her legacy.
I do teach ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 and one Lit class, AFAM 2600 at Tallahassee community college. It’s an adventure and I love it. Thanks for the content. Brittany is smiling.

I feel that you both were brought to each other. No coincidence. You have been struggling emotionally and this man was someone who truly understands what you went through and sometimes that's what we need. I had cancer and my cancer support group got me through some bad days. I absolutely believe you do these videos because our messages help you. Heck I watch them and they make me think. I am sorry you choked on lettuce, but glad you got to speak to this man. Take care of yourself, Darrin. ✌❤

It’s completely understandable that you’ve been feeling emotional and depressed. Apart from being recently bereaved, there is also the mental and physical exhaustion that remains after caring for a loved one who is suffering from terminal illness. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time. I’m sure that God brought you and this stranger together because you needed each other in that moment. The road ahead will unveil itself in time.

That being said you were suppose to be there to share about your story and the other gentleman was suppose to be there to share about his story!! God is so good are making great plans even thru a piece of lettuce ;). Btw let’s not eat those things that can get trapped!! Unless God secretly puts them there for a reason!! Dorottya! Thank you so much for the comment! Brittany often said that if her story could affect even just 1 person in a small way, then everything she would have experienced would have been worth it. Granted, this video was not about her, but... if not for her, I wouldn't be here doing these videos. So, long story short - you're one of those '1 person's she wanted to help.
