First race I’ve been to, the guy who sang the national anthem was so drunk that it was obvious to a 9 year old me, and pretty hilarious to everyone in the crowd. It was a swelteringly hot day, super humid. I’m glad I got to see a race when there was still good a crowd size! Also hearing someone down a cylinder is a lot lot more distinct in person than on tv! I believe it was Menard who had the motor laying down.
I really miss this Michigan. Old pavement, high line was effective. I'm afraid by then it's too late because NASCAR has taken away horsepower and favored high downforce at larger tracks which has worsened racing.

He sounds like he's singing while sipping a beer.. LMAO
This is close enough for a "full race" and a return to RUclips race as well.
Last oval cup start of P.J. Jones and Max Papis.

P.J. Jones drove 3 straight races in a row first time since 2004.

What truly killed Michigan was the insistence to make the corners a true singular degree bank instead of little variances of the repave in 2012.
