Disagree on the point you made that semi permanent doesn't colour gray hair. I use a semi permanent -Loreal casting creme and it works wonderfully for my relaxed hair with greys.
So I have natural red hair, but currently it's bleached to all heck and has hot pink dye in it. I Kind of want to put something darker on it... but only if it can wash all the way out without needing to bleach it again, my hair probably can't take another bleaching. Basically something temporary lol.
Hi April, love your hair and your content. I just wanted to ask a question. I'm relaxed and have a lot of grey hair's and I wanted to know, I'm considering dying my hair monthly with a semi permanent hair dye, and I wanted to know how damaging this would be. The reason for this is because my dye only lasts 3 weeks in my hair then the grey's are back. Please advise
I went in to get semi-permanent dye but my hair color has lasted about 4 months now.. do you think my stylist actually put permanent dye in my hair ? and what can I do to get my regular color back naturally without dying it back dark brown.
The amount of time it takes for semi-permanent color to wear off depends on how many times you wash it. It doesn't just wear off with time. It wears off with each time you shampoo your hair. The time frame that is given for the semi-permanent dye to wear off is usually based on the person washing their hair one to two times a week. So, for instance, if you're only washing your hair every 2 or 3 weeks, then of course it will take longer to wash away. Think 10 to 12 washes instead of 4 to 6 weeks. Hope this explanation helps.
Thank you for this info! I was wondering, does demi-permanent completely fade out or am I still going to have to dye my roots? I've been thinking Loreal Casting Creme Gloss to get my natural brunette hair with highlights back to just brunette, darker than my natural color tho. But I'm concerned it won't fade out the same way as glossing for example and I'll end up with a commitment to keep dying it. (The product is marketed as semi-permanent but since it has two things to mix together, I assume it's demi.) Thank you so so much, if you're able to help me with this. I can't seem to find any answers about it. :)
very informative video, love it. and i'm just seeing this now....i'm so late! but, does relaxer strip semi-permanent hair color? I can't seem to find that answer anywhere.
I would like to know this too. I'm relaxed and want colour in my hair. Preferably, red. But scared I would lose the hair I struggled to groom and lengthen
Hey April! Thanks for the break down. How long do you suggest to wait to apply a demi after you relax? I've heard alot of different time periods. Thanks gurl!
You can do your color Demi or Semi the same day after you've completed your relaxer process (these types of dyes are deposit only). I normally do mine the 1st or 2nd washday just because I don't feel like being in the salon that long.
Should Demi permanent hair color wash out completely? I colored my hair with Demi permanent the other day and saw Remnants of hair color when I toweled dry. I don’t want any breakage from left over product in my hair. I know semi permanent doesn’t wash out completely, but..... Demi? I’m not so sure
No, Demi permanent is an oxidative color that does not contain ammonia. Therefore, it can not lift or lighten color. The primary purpose is to add color and create a rich tone to the hair. Demi generally fades in 6 to 8 weeks. Hopefully this helps! Thanks for watching!
@@AprilSunnyBeauty so if I were to get Demi permanent it will fade the hair dyed the color I pick or the natural hair color sorry I’m just confuse?? Another question so Demi permanent isn’t an permanent dye??
Demi-permanent is mixed with a low hydrogen peroxide prior to applying and generally fades in 6 to 8 weeks. It's primary purpose is to add color and create richness of tone to the hair
I’ve been using semipermanent color to cover my grays with NO issues. Covers my grays completely.

that hair dye is demi permanent im sure
If it has a developer tube, it's demi permanent
It doesn’t cover for everyone. It doesn’t cover my grays

Your thoughts on Redken EQ demi permanent gloss or cream on relaxed hair?
I got the idea to use semi on the majority of my hair, and Demi for the middle part of my hair because I have grays there. Is that an okay idea?

I'm looking for a better dye as well. These gray hairs are rough. Lol
This is what I'm trying to find, a semi permanent color that covers grays and works with a relaxer
what strength developer should i use on relaxed hair?
20 developer and demi is safe for relaxed and long lasting.
Thanks
Can you do a hot oil treatment same day of semi permanent color?
Your hair.... Is amazing... J'aime beaucoup...!

Yes, it can. It's a rinse dye. So, it's best used after getting your relaxer.
Does Demi permenant damage your hair?

@@AprilSunnyBeauty do you mean Demi and Semi is like a temporary hair dye but it would take 6 week on till it goes back to natural hair color right?
Can semi permanent change back to burgundy?

Demi should wash completely out. There shouldn't be any remnants on your towel after washing it out.
@@AprilSunnyBeauty oh. Wow. Thanks. I washed my hair again this morning. It doesn’t look any damage was caused
Are you a professional? Just curious.

Is her hair fake?
No. Just look at other videos on her channel and you'd know that.🙄
The weakened hair hanging out the bag looks atrocious
