I was in high school when this album came out. In my English class, the teacher was an older, very proper lady, who loved her literature. When we studied the poem in class, I mentioned this song by Iron Maiden. She asked me to bring the cassette (if you know what that is) to class, and we actually spent a whole period listening to and breaking down this song, and the lyrics. When we had our exam, she even had a few questions based on the song. I really think she actually enjoyed the song. She instantly became the coolest teacher ever....
Still have cassettes (No player).. The same occurred with us in grade 13 lit. Our teach was not as enthused, but we did take a listen in the classroom.

I am 56, and they were amazing on this tour. Best Maiden show I ever saw, and it all came close to disaster while they played this song. Bruce is very lucky and came very close to being blinded or worse, cuz some ass hole in the crowd did something foolish and he was lucky security grabbed him, cuz he was attacked by about 10 people. I can remember this song in concert back in the 80's at the saginaw civic center, it was such a cool stage show,eddie running all over the stage an my ears had a ring in em for days, also all the people that were wasted too, i never seen such better concerts in the past 20 years than i did in the 80's! We had so much fun , i was 17 then an theyre still rocking out all over the world traveling on the "ed force one". Best talented rock band ever!

I was 14 when this album came out! It is the first album I can remember waiting for, the singles "2 Minutes To Midnight" and "Aces High" were from the "Forthcoming Album", so we waited! And then we got it and all gathered at one friend's house. Examining the album, we found out that "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" was nearly 14mins long! "You can't drum for that long, you'll die!" (how naive we were, because by the time "Live After Death" came out, I was already "Air-drumming" to it) 🤘🏻

I've only been a fan of this music since I dug into it on Spotify just last year, at age 57. I only listened to metal sporadically when I was younger, but today I continue to be amazed at how deep the genre is, pockets of uniqueness almost everywhere I've gone looking. There was an interesting fan video for Alexander the Great with scenes from the movie, but this AI idea is a much better match to the tone and theme.

@Alien al overworld. Great job done. Not a dissapointing fast cut picture video. Most images are very nice, some don't fit but it's OK. If you rework it maybe some day you could replace some images and rework others. The AI tools (still all of them) don't understand anatomy of hands and bodies. Photoshop is the cure to remove six finger hands in some image. But this is critics on a high level. Very well done mate!
Thank you for your comment. Yes I will at some point revisit, the first few videos are on an older version of the AI and so look very different than these picture perfect versions. Yes still hands. I did 'shop a couple of the pivotal images, like the one where he has his hands to the sky. I was able to use Stable Diffusion inpainting to revisit. The damn shooting of the albatross had to be a photoshop edit, try as I might the AI just could not do an arrow in a bird... Anyway Up the IRONS!

That whole section is so good, the whole song just rules! 9:14 Adrian's solo is so killer, just love the melodic phrasing and vibrato, Dave's was awesome too...then together, the harmonized lines are always super cool.

I feel ya. But the only video I remember seeing on Mtv was "Flight of Icarus". Once they began playing hip-hop, I saw the end of the channel for us. I remember when you saw bubbles and shit between songs and no commercials.
I've only been a fan of this music since I dug into it on Spotify just last year, at age 57. I only listened to metal sporadically when I was younger, but today I continue to be amazed at how deep the genre is, pockets of uniqueness almost everywhere I've gone looking. There was an interesting fan video for Alexander the Great with scenes from the movie, but this AI idea is a much better match to the tone and theme.

Most images are very nice, some don't fit but it's OK. If you rework it maybe some day you could replace some images and rework others. The AI tools (still all of them) don't understand anatomy of hands and bodies. Photoshop is the cure to remove six finger hands in some image.
But this is critics on a high level.

Thank you for your comment. Yes I will at some point revisit, the first few videos are on an older version of the AI and so look very different than these picture perfect versions. Yes still hands. I did 'shop a couple of the pivotal images, like the one where he has his hands to the sky. I was able to use Stable Diffusion inpainting to revisit. The damn shooting of the albatross had to be a photoshop edit, try as I might the AI just could not do an arrow in a bird... Anyway Up the IRONS!
