We drove up the day after the first big snowfall in more than a month and found conditions were perfect. Interstate 80 had just been plowed clear and dry. We were skiing on a Wednesday during school's winter break. It was so good, we decided to find a hotel and ski all day on Thursday too.
Catie has learned to pole plant and anticipate her turns. We talked about adding some vertical motion and finishing turns, and added some shorter radius turns in steeper terrain. She gets it all so quickly. I wish we could spend all winter in the mountains!
