Firstly to see you so happy and excited to start a new chapter was so heartwarming, and secondly everything you said about influencing feeling immoral in the current economic climate I thought was SO brave. I started following influencers to try and hone in on my personal style and start shopping more intentionally, but over the last few years it really has just felt like content has become so much less about true style and fashion and more about purveying the idea of an aspirational lifestyle online. As toxic as it is to consume the content I can imagine how much more so it would be to be in that world itself. I have always believed that no matter the external influences you have always remained authentic to yourself and what you stand for which is incredibly inspiring. I agree that in todays climate particularly with the cost of living crisis it does sometimes seem a bit tone deaf of certain influencers showing off their new designer handbag or doing “unboxings” when there are people who are struggling to make ends meet at the moment. I sometimes feel as though they are not actually passionate about fashion but just like having “nice” belongings whereas everything you present remains with value and I love how analytical you are of the clothing and you can see that it isn’t about promoting for you but you truly love the brands you work with. Hi Brittany, I’m currently facing a crossroads in my career and have been contemplating whether I’d be letting myself down by switching career trajectories, or whether I am keeping myself from being happier by staying in my current line of work. I 100% understand where you are coming from in regards to the blogging world, I have been blogging for eight years now and sometimes find it hard to keep up with new trends like reels and tik toks but at the end of the day I just create what I want to create and work with brands that I really love and trust, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this and its great to see someone being really authentic and only doing things they want too.

As someone who's always been ''different'' you remind me that, when it doubt, it's perfectly fine being different. I'm also at a crossroads point in my career as I just got laid off from my job at a company I really liked but I know deep down that I don't want to go into another company and work for someone else, being disposable... Even though that's the ''stable'' & ''safest'' option in the cost of living crisis I have the urge to take a risk and try freelancing... Maybe I'm an idiot but maybe I'm a genious, I'll never know if I don't try, right?

I have always believed that no matter the external influences you have always remained authentic to yourself and what you stand for which is incredibly inspiring. I agree that in todays climate particularly with the cost of living crisis it does sometimes seem a bit tone deaf of certain influencers showing off their new designer handbag or doing “unboxings” when there are people who are struggling to make ends meet at the moment. I sometimes feel as though they are not actually passionate about fashion but just like having “nice” belongings whereas everything you present remains with value and I love how analytical you are of the clothing and you can see that it isn’t about promoting for you but you truly love the brands you work with. Keep being you and I wish you all the best on this next part of your journey x
