Nice review, will buy one to bug my coworkers 😂 . Couple of gestures you made with the night vision were funny, kind of reminded me of John Belushi at Animal Hose, LOL 😂
Really depends on your needs. It is more of a novelty than a serious security bot, but they do fairly frequent firmware updates that make it more useful. As it is, I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for home security. It struggles on most home carpets, but does fine on that very thin carpet at the office. Can't go over edging between rooms/door frames. It's kind of a one-room critter. Since I've owned it, though, some changes have been made making it better. It can actually find it's docking port in less than five minutes. Haha. So....If you're looking for something to have fun with, program, and have those neat camera features...Might be worth it. Otherwise, a wall-mounted PTZ camera would probably be a better choice.
Thanks for the review. The price is very reasonable for what it can do. Some questions, how strong or delicate is it?? For example, if it fell off a high desk, table etc, would it still be in one piece and still functional?? Can it survive a lot of bashing?? 🤔
It does do auto-patrol, yes. You just have to pre-set the path it takes. When it detects a person it does a notification like a ring doorbell does. You can have it set to not detect animals, though, which is nice for at home.
I really like the way you review this item a lot of positivity well done

It's pretty rugged but not fall off a high table onto wood floor rugged. The wheels would be the first thing to break.
Can you auto patrol at night? What happen if it detect animal or human?

@@RynoDBones Thanks! I like to use at my backyard at night..
Is it a US company?
The company is based in California. Likely not assembled there, though.
Does it support rtsp or onvif?
Scout only supports Alexa video streaming which is based on RTSP
