I’m glad you got to meet me but we met last year and at Bunyan😂 Thanks Chris! I’m definitely a proud Dad!!! I wish we would have had more time to talk ourselves! The dump trailer kept me busy this year. I appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻
Thanks Jerry! It was a great time but very windy so video was a challenge. I will put something together but it was mostly short clips. I was pretty busy! We had 13 splitters and a firewood processor there. So keeping up moving trailers to the woodpile was pretty full-time.😂 Appreciate ya watching 👊🏻
I just got home from the Hoosier Firewood Hysteria. One of the bright spots was meeting Evan and getting to talk to him for a few minutes. You have raised a very nice young man with manners and work Ethic. You should be proud. Mulberry is a genus of species as hedgeapple. It is the hottest btu's per pound of any firewood. If I could have only one wood to burn, that would be it. It also makes the best bow staves of any wood.
Looks like some nice weather. Firewood is not a get rich quick scheme. It does teach that if you keep busy doing the right thing each and every day, you will be rewarded. Keep splitting.
Very true! Evan has learned so many life lessons in the last three years. That is the true payoff for me and him as well. He will realize where he learned work ethic later on in life. Thanks Robert👊🏻
Great video!! I’m hoping to get some mulberry one day. Your woodyard looks clean. I sure had a really good time hanging out with you and Evan this wkend. Seriously it was a blast. Y’all are some great people!!
I had an awesome weekend as well as Evan! He is still talking about Mr. Jacob!! You made a great impression on him! I thank you for that. So glad you made the trip👊🏻
Hello CHRIS👊🏻 Yeah it was a great weekend. Once again you were awesome help!! Your Axis split a ton of wood! Thanks for letting us run it. Hope to see ya again next year👊🏻
That tree service load yielded alot! Some nice bundle grade stuff! I got to buck up what I believe was some Mulberry at HFH. Didn’t get to split any but it cut well 👌🏻
Yeah it does cut real nice! As dense as it is with a high BTU you would think it would be harder to cut? Splits great as well. Had a great time spending time with you this weekend Brandon.👊🏻
I’d suppose anything is an upgrade over that hackberry you were messing with, but you really went from one end of the spectrum to the other! Looks like some beautiful firewood, and one that I’ve never encountered.
😂 You’re not kidding! Yes Mulberry is a very satisfying species to work with! Smells great splits nice and burns hot! Thanks for watching and commenting 👊🏻
The wall is gone and the trailer is empty, does it get any better than that?! Yes it does...being at the HFH and hanging with a bunch of great hard working people. It was so good seeing you again and meeting Evan!! He is a fine young man and he sure fit right in with the firewood community!! Did he have have a favorite take away from the event?
You got that right Bill. What a great rewarding weekend we had again this year! I appreciate the kind words on Evan! He was talking about the entire experience all the way home and then was sharing more with his mom, his sister and Molli. He said meeting everyone was so awesome!! That was his biggest takeaway. He appreciated all that attended taking him in as part of the woodhound crew so eagerly! As far as machines he fell in love with that WR 17-VS and the Dyna processor!! Great to see you again as well Obie👊🏻
I been on the hunt for some wood. Not much luck. It still early were I am. I have 5 cords done this year. I like to do 20 cord this year. Great looking stacks. Keep up the good work.
Well we have dry spells finding wood too sometimes. Then out of the blue we get offers for free wood all at once! Keep at it you’re probably just a few days away from hitting the jackpot. Thanks for watching Dan👊🏻
We had a blast Richard. It was awesome to be able to make the trip with Evan this year! He was so fun to watch. I think he ran almost every machine on hand😂 Appreciate ya watching 👊🏻
Always a good feeling to see return customers too. Let’s ya know you’re doing something right! Plus they tell friends😂 Thanks for watching and commenting Kenny👊🏻
Little at a time we are getting there! We had a blast this weekend!! Evan is on cloud 9! It was another amazing event! We will be heading back home here shortly. Thanks for watching Phil👊🏻
I havn't seen any mulberry or hedge apple in Ohio in a long time. There used to be a lot but it was in farmers hedges and they have cleared them all into huge fields.
There is a ton of it here. Most farms still have the Hedge row property lines. I could cut 24 hours a day for a year and not even scratch the surface🤣 Thanks for watching James👊🏻
Nice job Todd! Looks like you have a nice inventory going! Nice mix you got split up on this video. I been working with some pretty trashy stuff lately here.
Well thank you! We do like to offer the customers a good mix! I believe they get more perks for a campfire! Flame smell and heat if they want it! Thanks for watching CMF👊🏻
Those logs are two Walnut logs that I may be sending to the mill for slabs? I just gotta get them there sometime😂 Appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻
@toddsoutsideagain I got 4 trailer loads of mulberry dropped off on the property! you are right if you get a good straight grained piece it splits like butter and smells better than oak lol Also a lot of old timers round here tell me is trash fire wood (seems like they are all listening to tall tales and myth.. or stuck on OAK IS THE ONLY FIREWOOD YOU SHOULD BURN) lol All the research I have done tells me Mulberry is better than oak for heating and cooking xD So ima keep some for myslef and sell the rest 275$ a cord
It must not be on the East Coast Tom mostly in the Midwest. I know even Nebraska Wood cuts a lot of Mulberry. They have it over in Indiana and as far west as Nebraska that I know of. Thanks for watching Tom.
Hello Isaiah. Evan has pretty much just joined me on videos now. He is gonna be heading off to college soon so he has put his channel on hold for now. You will continue to see him on my channel when he is available. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
I finally got to meet the brains of the operation at the HFH! You have done a great job raising that fine young man!
I’m glad you got to meet me but we met last year and at Bunyan😂 Thanks Chris! I’m definitely a proud Dad!!! I wish we would have had more time to talk ourselves! The dump trailer kept me busy this year. I appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻

Yes we did. It was all good manageable rounds. It sure was a good time this past weekend. Thanks to you and Amanda for being part of it👊🏻
The new wood yard looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing your video from this weekend. I'm sure it was a good time.

Out of rounds?! Staying on top of the work, good job Todd and Evan!
Well when your out the hunt begins for more😂 Appreciate your work on HFH! It was great to see ya again Genin👊🏻
Good job getting that wood split. Every trailer load split is a few dollars in the bank. Great seeing you had some help as well for a bit.
You got that right! Little everyday adds up! Thanks for watching Russ👊🏻
Love it. Stack it deep Todd! 👍
Heck ya! Thats the plan! Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Mulberry is a great smoking wood too. Whenever I get some I cut it up into 3" smoker chunks which also helps dry it out
I have heard that numerous times now! It smells great when split so I see why it would! Thanks for watching and commenting 👊🏻
Mulberry is one of my favorite firewoods. Wood yards are looking great. Good to see you guys this weekend. Trailer was very helpful.
Hello CHRIS👊🏻 Yeah it was a great weekend. Once again you were awesome help!! Your Axis split a ton of wood! Thanks for letting us run it. Hope to see ya again next year👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain looking forward to next year. It’s nice seeing so many different splitters to run.
Looks good. That 8-10 inch stuff works so well for your splitter set up. Ps Alvin the chipmunk did a nice job stacking
Yes it does! Yeah I thought I ran that clip in time lapse😂 Well I didn’t want to leave it out so ya got the chipmunk voice. Thanks for watching Stan👊🏻
I'm with on the mulberry, splits nice, burns great, and drys fairly quick.
Good stuff! Had another great weekend hanging out Bobby👊🏻🇺🇸

Have a great time in the Hoosier state. I don't get much mulberry here, cool to see you have found it to be a great firewood.
We had a blast Richard. It was awesome to be able to make the trip with Evan this year! He was so fun to watch. I think he ran almost every machine on hand😂 Appreciate ya watching 👊🏻
Nice feeling seeing the firewood stand being emptied. Your inventory is looking great.

Well that is a bit ambitious but I’m up for it😂 I appreciate ya stopping by Matt👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain haha I believe in you guys.
Todd,
What are the logs that are on the ground behind the stacks in the new wood yard?
Just curious.
Thanks - John from Georgia
Those logs are two Walnut logs that I may be sending to the mill for slabs? I just gotta get them there sometime😂 Appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻
So we don’t have mulberry around where I live and I was just concerned on how good it burns is it relatable to oak?
It’s actually higher in BTU than oak and burns great in my opinion! Very good stuff! Thanks for watching Jake👊🏻

Wonder if that’s just in your area I don’t ever hear anyone talking about Mulberry in Pittsburgh. Do you know if that’s a regional thing?
It must not be on the East Coast Tom mostly in the Midwest. I know even Nebraska Wood cuts a lot of Mulberry. They have it over in Indiana and as far west as Nebraska that I know of. Thanks for watching Tom.
@@toddsoutsideagain good info. Thx
Hey Todd, it’s good to see you does your son make RUclips video or just you?
