Am I the only one excited about the fact we can lock our pc now? I was tired of visitors using it all the time, it felt like that was the only thing they wanted when they visited.
I'm really glad you made this video. There was so many negative comments about the livestream and lots of complaining, it was nice to see a video that focused on the positive points of the pack. I dont see how going to classes and having graduation as rabbit holes is such a huge deal when there are so many more aspects to college life. I am super excited for this pack and I bet there is so much fun, exciting gameplay that we just haven't seen. I seriously always love your vidoes and I feel you do a good job discussing these type of issues or concerns in a way where it isnt offensive. Much respect. I can't wait for your university let's play 😊
So to my understanding this is how the courses run based on that we need to complete 12 classes to graduate : 4 Classes/0 Electives/ = 3 weeks 3 Classes/1 Electives/ = 4 weeks 2 Classes/2 Electives/ = 6 weeks 1 Class/3 Electives/ = 12 weeks hope this is helpful !

I also agree about the rabbit hole not being that big of a deal, I know a lot of people were freaking out about that, but I feel like realistically, how many times would you really go to classes with your sims. It’s the same as get to work, like how many people really follow their sims to their job every day. After a couple times you would send them alone and not care so why waste trying to make university classes open. I honestly don’t care about that.

Well, we don't pay for courses or to go to university, we just pay for the file from our application and for some services and that's it. This price is super expensive to me 😂😂😂😂
They should do a Family Stuff Pack that comes with things for babies and toddlers and BUNK BEDS! I know they were going off of realism when it came to bunk beds (they should've come in Parenthood anyways, but the past is the past and there's nothing we can do now 😑), but I was really hoping that we would get them. Also, going off of Wolf-1's idea, I wanted to have a teen sim have a baby with his/her teacher in high school, but honestly it would be much funner in Uni. Cuz like they could get expelled, then they wouldnt be able to have a steady job to support the kid and ALSO the professor would get fired which would mean that they wouldnt have an income either! Sorry for the long comment, I'm just a very oppinionated person .....
I kind of wish they incorporated basketball as a joinable sport ☹️ and have it to where they have to practice before their tournaments for both soccer and basketball

Also the bunk bed thing is such a lie! There are definitely bunk beds at least in the USA! There are also loft beds here which would be amazing! In the Dorms where I live you have a lofted bed with a desk underneath!
Right!! They even said in the live-stream that they made toilet stalls with ridiculously large gaps and they made dorms with roommates whereas many European universities don’t have shared rooms. Plus student loans! So they take those three things from American life but say other places don’t have bunk beds ?? Doesn’t make sense.

I totally agree about the build and buy thing, I saw so many people being mad at the fact that you needed to put a chest in to edit the lot, but like? It’s just a cheat, it’s not like you need mods to do it, it’s not that big of a deal.

It came with a camera where you could have your sims record “home videos” like videos of the toddler walking for the first time, your kids birthday party etc. Your sim would stand there and record the video and then you’d have a video tape that your sims can put into the tv and the family could watch the family memories together. Boarding school, imaginary friends for kids, field trips for kids and teens, parents would teach teens to drive. Teens had prom, they could go with a date or even find their first love at the dance! The pack gave your sims a new scrapbook thing you could click on and it’d open up kinda like the seasons calendars in the sims 4 or like the spell books in realm of magic! In the scrapbook you could look at all your sins memories, your sims romantic reputation, etc. Adults could have a midlife crises and get whims for all kinds of crazy things! Parents could go out of town and then the teens would be able to throw a teen party and you could either get caught by the parents coming home early or coming home to a mess and the teens would get in trouble or the cops could show up if the party is too loud. Plus so much more, those are just some things that are in generations that are super detailed😊

University was the pack I was least looking forward to (although I've already pre-ordered it) but the new gameplay aspects actually look fab! Something I'm curious about is whether you can have 2 roommates that are both active Sims...like as a household. I'd like two best friends to be roommates and be able to play both, you know?

beka26 you can have 8 sims in a household just like you can now. In a residential housing, they can be some uni students some not and also some foxbury students and some brichester. If you are in dorms, all the sims must attend the same university and a dorm can hold 10 sims. So if you have 1 playable sim, the game will generate 9 random roommates. If you have 8 playable sims, the game will generate 2 random roommates. These roommates are non playable.
I'm pretty sure the roommates aren't playable. They are just computers that are there. So you can have up to 9 and it won't effect the eight sims in your household thing :)
sophia calaway They said you can have ten sims in a house with roommates, but eight playable so you can have two npc on lot. Wonder if that conflicts with butlers though...
i have a question after the lifestream. If you have different sims in different households and you want to pu them together in 1 dorm. Can you do that? And also if you have 1 household and you want to put more than 1 sim in university and in the same dorm. Is this also possibel?
@dr103 there are many other interactions that happen inside a classroom other than sitting still in one place. For instance: chatting with ur classmates, throwing paper planes, raising hands to ask the teachers, argue with the teachers, to discuss in a group of sims, playing video game instead of paying attention to the lecture, break time, taking picture with friends. Does the sim team really give us a University pack and expect us to be fine with the classes being completely rabbit holes?
Nguyen Dan There will probably be a mod in the future that allows you to go to classes. It might provide any interactions though. There are already mods that allow your sims to go to school.
@@makayla9073 that is the issue, why are we relying so heavily on mods for better gameplay when we have to pay $40 or more to buy an Expansion pack that only has half of the contents from previous sim game??? At this point, the sim gurus are just a bunch of lazy asses who recycle content, animations, put zero effort into making the game better and charge us hella money, they know we're too loyal to The Sims's franchise so they aren't afraid that they will lose their customers

nicii179 you can split the household so one goes to the uni dorm of britchester and one goes to foxbury but you won’t be able to play them at the same time you’ll have to keep changing to each dorm

I‘m glad they didnt make universities more expensive. they should be free anyways as they are where i live. we pay around 15-25€ per semester for the union of students (uni doesnt get anything from that) and that‘s it. you only have to pay uni when you take too long to finish and are over 26, around 300 per semester.

beka26 you can do that now. Just create 2 sims in CAS and make them roommates.

Does the sim team really give us a University pack and expect us to be fine with the classes being completely rabbit holes?
Nguyen Dan There will probably be a mod in the future that allows you to go to classes. It might provide any interactions though. There are already mods that allow your sims to go to school.
@@makayla9073 that is the issue, why are we relying so heavily on mods for better gameplay when we have to pay $40 or more to buy an Expansion pack that only has half of the contents from previous sim game??? At this point, the sim gurus are just a bunch of lazy asses who recycle content, animations, put zero effort into making the game better and charge us hella money, they know we're too loyal to The Sims's franchise so they aren't afraid that they will lose their customers
sooo if i have two sims in my household one goes to foxbury one to britechester, there is no student dorm that can have both right? bc as far as I‘ve seen its always “britechester/foxbury students only”. how would im solve that? can they only live on residential lots?
nicii179 you can split the household so one goes to the uni dorm of britchester and one goes to foxbury but you won’t be able to play them at the same time you’ll have to keep changing to each dorm

For right now there is a bug with living in a dorm that makes your sims not pop up.

i wish there was a website on the computer where you can check your grades and maybe you can go to your professor and in flirt there can be a option where it says make grade better...
I‘m glad they didnt make universities more expensive. they should be free anyways as they are where i live. we pay around 15-25€ per semester for the union of students (uni doesnt get anything from that) and that‘s it. you only have to pay uni when you take too long to finish and are over 26, around 300 per semester.
