but Kratos is really stronger than Ryu no? if you compare the antagonists that these 2 fought then within research, Kratos is actually better than Ryu
People really understimate Kratos here, specially his speed.
Kratos may not move very fast, but his reflexes are way more than enough to beat Ryu. Kratos could match Zeus who could move at the speed of lightning and he even could block his lightning bolt. A lightning bolt can reach a speed of 1400 km/s or Mach 4117.
As far as I know Ryu could deflect bullets and move faster than the human eye can track, that would put his speed just reaching hypersonic.
And his strength and durability are way greater than Ryu's. Kratos has blocked attacks from beings bigger and stronger than anything Ryu has fought before, such as Cronos. He overpowered the Three Great Olympians (Hades, Poseidon and Zeus), who were able to defeat Cronos and Atlas (the latter one being strong enough to hold the surface of the Earth and Cronos is close to Atlas' strength).
why couldn't Ryu use a talisman of rebirth to revive himself

Monty Oum was my main inspiration when I got into animation. Then after his passing, I was pretty bummed out. After watching these three videos in a row, all I can say is great work and I hope to see more of your success in the future. Thank you for also a new spark to my interest in animation.

It all comes down to what they've fought in the past.
Kratos has faced *everything* at Hayabusa's disposal in the form of the standard enemies or bosses of his games. One he recognizes a technique, he can counter it.
Hayabusa, on the other hand, has *never* faced anything like Kratos. As cool and badass as Hayabusa was, he was outmatched by a man who can match Gods.

Sure they do. Based on your description, they're the exact same gods from different mythology, complete with the same weapon types.
The difference is that Ryu's fighting style involves avoiding damage at all costs, whereas Kratos' involves wading in and giving as good as he gets. Meaning their abilities are equal, but Kratos can take a lot more damage than Ryu.
That made it an endurance match, and Kratos outstrips Ryu in stamina with a huge margin.
+TatsurouKaos Kratos is waaaay stronger in both strength and durability. Where as Ryu is waaay faster. Ryu cannot match kratos in close combat, he would have to outmaneuver him and hit him from afar. Ryu does have the edge in weapons though, TDS+ BOTA is probably > BOO

Fantastic! Neither hero "should" win, though I could be happier if Hayabusa wins the final battle or ever has a chance to successfully perform the Izuna drop. The fight itself is gorgeous and that's enough (especially the Dual Swords vs. Blade of Chaos/Athena in part 2, feast for the eyes). Thank you for the high-qualified trilogy and all the hard work, thumb up!
Yo opino que deberia haber otro final xq se vio que ryu era superior en velocidad, ademas que en multiples momentos le pudo haber ganado como con el salto de izuna o mas tarde con un brazo roto le lanzo el piercing void, pudo haber usado un talisman de renacimiento y lanzar el dragon de fuego. Aparte no puede ser posible que la true dragon sword se haya roto como si fuese de plastico,

Efectivamente, omitieron muchísimo poder de Ryu, tiene el paso fantasma por ejemplo, tiene el arte de Inazuma, el del hielo y pudieron darle la True Dragon Sword y la cuchilla del Archidemonio de Genshin, así como la Dark Dragon Blade y listo, además Ryu lanza agujeros negros, eso no puede ser partido a la mitad porque consumen toda luz. Xd

The fight was very good, but Ryu neither used the Blade of the Archfiend... why not? If Ryu had this weapon, I am sure that he would defeated Kratos. I was expecting to see Hayabusa as the winner, and the Blade of the Archfiend against the Blade of Olympus.
Not so much fair when Kratos have the Blade of Olympus and Ryu don't have a weapon so powerful as the Blade of the Archfiend.
Ryu defeated demon gods and is far more skillful than Kratos. He should have be the winner. But just my opinion.

Putting personal feelings (and sheer statistical facts) aside, you did a superb job in the making of this what-if series. I won't take for granted how difficult it may have been to bring this concept to life, and it is much appreciated considering the time and effort.
Now, with that said......."Disappointed" is all I feel when it comes to the thought that this fight ended the way it did, and on behalf of the franchise that for me into video gaming in the first place, please reconsider at least installing an alternate ending. Especially with the coming of a new Nordic-style God of War showcased in E3, as well as the next possible Ninja Gaiden installment coming forth as well, by which I am a fan of both.
Ryu Hayabusa has the wrath of a thousand ninjas why did he lose? Kratos is no where near as strong as ryu. disappointing.

So did Kratos, including all greek heroes, the Furies and the fates of time.
Overall, if anything, Ryu wins because of skill and talent. Kratos wins because of utility and inventiveness(It's technically a fight between a close range character with some projectiles and an AOE melee fighter with stunning projectiles).

WOW!! That was so fast and badass. Not to mention, awesome! I never thought that Kratos would go up against a Ninja. Now this is true combat. A Spartan Warrior vs A Dragon Ninja. It’s intriguing! Who would’ve thought that a New God of War would actually win against an assassin? This should’ve been in one of the Death Battle episodes. But who’s complaining? A true title “Kratos vs Ryu Hayabusa” is a real masterpiece.

Saw all three just now. Great work. But the ending, you could have really left it as a fanfare if Ryu just revived with the Talisman of Rebirth, Ran Kratos through the blade himself and Ryu left, with Kratos getting up later and walking it off. Both surviving and fought a great battle with god killers.
Realistically, Ryu should be too fast for Kratos, but Kratos too strong for direct attacks from Ryu. Literally a speed/skill vs power/tools match. But it should have came down to the blade of Olympus vs the True dragon blade, both can kill gods in their games.
But that's just me.

People are used to the fact of Kratos winning every fight that can be imagined because his writers have made him to be that way and that's just about it. In truth, Kratos wouldn't have stood a chance against any of those gods if they were depicted as powerful as they were supposed to be. Because Greek Mythology most certainly depicts them as being way more powerful than a button-mashing boss. Instead, the designers had to pretty much downplay the gods' true abilities to better befit the idea that someone like Kratos would actually be able to destroy them. I've played all of the God of Wars and I have to say that they are cute games. I can see how the younger generation can get so attached to them, having no education of actual Greek Mythology.Now if we were to discuss technique, Kratos, hands down, wouldn't be able to stand a chance against Hayabusa Ninjutsu. Ryu Hayabusa is in a martial arts class beyond Grandmaster. To put him against a Greek character, who back in those days, martial arts wasn't even a thing really is laughable. I'm not going to go into too much detail as to why I think Ryu Hayabusa should have beaten Kratos. I feel that the people who have played all of the Ninja Gaiden games have already pointed out enough arguable material that made this fight biased toward Kratos. As I already mentioned in the above paragraph, this fight "would be" biased toward Kratos getting the win "just because."If the makers do decide to post an alternate ending, I would have had that Hayabusa being impaled by the Blade of Olympus was a shadow clone. Kratos would also need to learn the importance of "never turning your back on the enemy." Also, the fact that Ryu got his arm dislocated, he is a regenerator...But it was a nice "attempt" at finding another logical excuse for why Kratos should have won this fight along with all of his other feats.
I'm a Ryu fan but I think Kratos has killed too many gods compared to what Ryu has achieved, so I think this is probably how it would go down. That being said ryu was cut down like this by Doku and still survived and came back even better.
I can't fuckin believe l watched this series for over 2 years to see Ryu constantly getting stepped apon with hardly any comebacks just to see him die so easily to someone he could have beaten (not easily). If Kratos will beat Ryu so easily, it should have been in just one video

Me neither. People seem to latch onto the idea that a character is invincible just because they are labeled as a "god". But gods from different religions have different levels of power. It's like they take a god and just cuz he has the name, he must be as strong as the Christian God right?

Ehh we forgeting that the true dragon sword with the edge can rivalized to the dark dragon sword who can destroy universes...
So the true power dragon sword is equal to kill every mortal or immortal like he killed the seven demons two times (i think are seven) and he killed other demons and he is just a simple human and he can survive to lava and can spawn a void in his hands, can warp reality, can move at the light speed (kratos have more speed but ryu try to get close), etc...
Ryu is my fav and well in just battle i think is a tie because ryu and kratos both can kill gods and demons and both have a sword/blade who can kill immortals so...

Just his dragon sword and training but kratos have more weapons and tools to go fast and do more damage and kratos in base have more strong than ryu but have less skills like do a void or combat hand to hand because kratos is more old than ryu and ryu is more young than kratos so the combat is modern and he learn ninjutsu/taijutsu who is one of the most deadly martial arts of the word so hand to hand and skills ryu got but...

I said it on the first video, the animation is at a pro level, but the substance of the fight is wrong. Hayabusa has way more tecnique and speed. Kratos have godly strength and endurance, but ryu have godly speed. As a player of both franchises i can say that is imposible for him to parry or worse, to dodge ryus moves. With a few hits he could kill the ninja,but he would never touch him. Blade of the archfiend+dragonsword, or even any dual swords like the crouching tigger and dragon fang versus of any kratos weapons and spartan would be dead in minutes.
No point in killing Kratos though, he always runs away from hell 😂

Lol. Kratos is a demigod, not a god. Not outside of the 1 time he was elevated to take Ares’ place then stripped of his power again. Ryu is also a demigod due to being a direct descendant of the Dragon Gods of his verse.

The only reason he even managed to hurt Zeus, let alone kill him was thanks to the Power of Hope, which is literally an undefined deus ex machina it power. Proof Zeus is as fast as lightning?? In the actual battle, his lightning bolts move WAY faster than him and Kratos has to aim dodge them.

How the hell did the dragon blade break it’s unbreakable.
While this is the likely outcome, I still strongly prefer the Ninja Gaiden games, as they are much better hack'n'slash games that favour skill, twitch-reflex action and player expression over God of War's restrictive boss fights, showy combat and forced, unnecessary quick-time events. Regardless though, this was some amazing work. I was invested all throughout the 3 videos.

Kratos no tiene ese movimiento tan rapido al final, en todo caso trajera las botas doradas pero no las trae y ryo hayabusa al final se podria haber curado y siendo ninja podria haber lanzado como ataque al dragon dorado de fuego, para mi parecer deberia haber otro final diferente

Not to mention his magic, his weapons etc, PLUS if we include all games, His fight with Yaiba at the end game, it would take more , wayyyy more then that to kill Ryu.
But anyways piercing void would still kill Kratos. Look up that ability and read about what it does story-wise not just gameplay-wise.
I mean, I stand by my opinion that the fight could've gone either way, but c'mon... Kratos killed God lmao. You can't just list one fighter's feats without taking the other's feats into consideration. I still think these two are extremely comparable in terms of ability, with Ryu having a massive speed advantage but Kratos having a moderate power and durablity advantage. Which isn't based off of hard research or anything (I'm not death battle lol) but based on the representation of the characters in their respective games.
I do agree with the piercing void thing though. I'm not too proud of that. It should've obliterated Kratos if it hit. I just wanted to do something that would lead into another weapon switch, but I could've done something more clever than that.
OK well, first off let me say something... I highly respect your opinion, I don't want my comment to come off as an "angry reply" just a "My opinion" and by all means I still liked the video.
I don't deny Kratos is a poweful SOB and wouldn't be an easy fight no matter which way it did go. I will say this, in video games the terms "God" and "Devil" don't amount to much (same in anime) Also I think some characters don't get to reveal there full capabilites, for an average gamer, Raiden from MG:R would look like he would take on both these guys at the same time with ease, cause he shows a lot more in his game, But it takes knowing the character and reading the history etc. But with that said, I think Ryu (Like in NG3) he held back and never got to show his full power and at the end when he did, he made the whole thing look easy af. So I do think Ryu would win, But again that's just my opinion.
ALSO do NOT insult yourself, death battle sucks, there analytics are wrong, they do half-assed research, don't even obid by their own feats when they make the battle, AND include gameplay mechanics (SOMETIMES) when it benefits them. It's horse shit, Literally no diffeence between there videos and your video, except they have a big fance magazine to kick there videos off and made them popular. They are just fans, stating opinions.
And yeah, Piercing void would kill him, I am sure Kratos would and could dodge, But IF it did hit him, it's an over-technique.
Honestly, now that I really think about it, I agree with most everything you say there. Especially when it comes to game mechanics. Because the characters really have to be ridiculously nerfed in order for it to even be a game. Or else there would literally be no challenge or reason to be play it. In-game, Ryu can get one-shotted by a random goon and Kratos can get killed by a harpy lmao. You have a valid point. I'm not going to become a full-on analysis channel or anything because I aim for spectacle and clever choreography above all, but I will try to look further into a character for future fights so I can better represent any characters I end up using.
And I would say I made two giant goofs in this series. One was breaking the dragon sword in the first part, because the video was supposed to originally end there and Kratos was supposed to use the Blade of Olympus to do it, but then I was like "Ryu has like 20 weapons and a bunch of magic... I want to use some of those...." And what was supposed to be a 5 minute video became a 16 minute video haha. And the second goof was the void thing.
I also wouldn't say Kratos winning is necessarily my opinion either. I mean, Ryu still has the Talisman of Reb... wait maybe I shouldn't say that right now hahaha.

awesome! Maybe you can do what the "Ultimate fights" do and have an alternate ending feat both characters winning. And funny thing about that, My little brother was playing DMC and asked me why he couldn't jump as high as Dante in cutscenes, and I had to explain that DMC wouldn't be a game if you had full control of Dantes powers haha.
Not gonna lie, my dream game is one where you can be as cool as the character in the cutscenes. Which is probably why I like Kingdom Hearts so much, because you can get pretty close haha.
But about the alternate ending thing, it's something I've been thinking about pretty hard but idk. It kind of feels like a cop-out to me, but I do know that it would make a lot of viewers happy. I know I'm not using it for my next couple fights because I like the endings that I have planned out way too much for an alternate, but I will probably try it out after those to test out how it's received and see how much I would enjoy doing it
I'm gonna be honest there is no way Kratos could beat Ryu, and.......... this was obviously NG2 Hayabusa, where was the ninpo from NG3
kratos took down all the gods of olympus... though ryu is a overpowered ninja... they are both fast and have super powered reflexes... i would say its an equal fight no matter who won

I'm not trying to start in argument but did anyone notice that how that Kratos was able to catch up with Ryu. I know that Kratos was able to have the strength and Stamina but Ryu had the speed then Kratos. For my example Kratos speed is 408-1701 m/s that is faster than a bullet but that's only if he had Hermes Boots. So mostly without those boots which Kratos didn't have the boots in the first place. He would have 10-100 m/s Elite sprinter. Ryu Hayabusa Speed 408-1701 m/s and sometimes in the mid of Hypersonic speed. I would understand that Ryu have superhuman stamina and Kratos have Unlimited of them. And to tell you the truth If Ryu took it serious at the beginning of the fight he would've murder the mess outta Kratos with speed. Kratos was able to kill all the gods but Ryu was able to kill all Demons and a spud-like creature which transforms too. And come on man Ryu cut a goddess in half with a small ass sword. You cannot say that is pretty hardcore right there. So I will think that Ryu could've won this fight.
Tell you why this is wrong im a fan of both but for 1 the dragon sword can’t break for 2 kratos never fought a warrior as fast and as agile as ryu. Just because he is brutal doesnt make him immortal. 3rd and final point why the hell didnt ryu have kitesu(dokus old sword) or blade of the archfiend??? And what about the ultimate techniques ?? Kratos is my favorite to and believe in a real fight it could go either way but be realistic when it comes to stuff like this both are unnatural and freaks of nature but dont make one look bad for whatever reason . 🤷♂️

Gun Blade Kratos has reacted to beings who are light speed reactor and moves with that speed. Ryu is nowhere to this.

I really didn't choose the winner till the very end. Kratos and Hayabusa are extremely comparable in terms of their stats and feats. This is a fight that, in my opinion, really could've gone either way. With that in mind, enjoy the video!

Yeah, I'm sorry but what is it with people having a hard-on for Kratos? I know both have extremely well-accomplished feats but I find it annoying to think a man who relies on both brute force, speed, and precision would lose to that hulking brute. Ryu displayed more versatility and skill and Kratos either tanked everything and blocked a hell of a lot more than I know he actually can. The animation was really good, don't get me wrong but I just don't understand why EVERY fight Kratos is a part of, he wins. Like, the dude is human too, he's not superman so wtf?

As I'm more of a Ninja Gaiden fan than God of war I must say Kratos wins this without a sweet. He is a regenerating god not to mention row power and with who he went against with. Epic fight but wrong classes.
