Tiny slope = concentration, quick reactions, heart in mouth, and hard work... the therapy for that is at least one hour with a gentle floater, a gentle slope, and a gentle breeze! As always, thank you to both of you.
this is what slopesoaring is all about - having some fun, enjoying the wind, not worrying about all the other stuff, just you, the plane and a nice breeze :)
“Micro slope soaring” or maybe “bump soaring”. It did seem to put a cramp in your looping but nothing else. Opens up soaring to a lot of other places if you are open minded to the possibilities as shown by this video. Excellent!
Nice flying! Unlikely lift sources are always fun. I used to fly the beach wall at Southport with a chuck glider and once attempted the sloping roof of the building at our local sports field (total fail) but this is more impressive. The ultimate award will probably go to the brave/barmy glider guider who manages to work the side of a cross channel ferry. Now there's a challenge.
Get yourself a walk along glider and take it everywhere with you. To the supermarket (if you're not driving?) and when you get some fish and chips, and even church on Sundays?
I live in Beemster in the Netherlands. There is a 4 meter slope at any direction within a few kilometres from my house. I can always find a place to slope soar and if there is no wind, I fly behind my house above the huge fields.
Great landing move! This must be a feather weight, or on a string, as appears to be flying where there is almost no slope. Twitching with the wind puffs; it makes it appear as if a seagull is at the controls.
Used to do this down at Ogmore by sea in south Wales when the F3F league events were called off due to low cloud back in the day! Also the East Sussex Mob used to do the same down on the beach at Seaford beach using the slightly ramped up beach boulders left by the tide and storms... at night! It was possible due to the light pollution from the shops on the seafront. Combat was hilarious with a good few foamies up together! It's remarkable what you can fly off of, and the key is the smooth air coming in from the sea. Any kind of normal turbulence such as you would get on an inland slope tends to make it very difficult.
Get some microfilm and glide over your home appliances. A guy in a dream was showing me that they can map stuff using our fridges and freezers. It kind of makes sense, as they're always plugged-in, and nearly every home has one, and they're not just keeping our food cold, they're emitting an electrical field that you can map out if you have the right sensors and equipment. Not just mapping out our houses to show where all the rooms are, and what's in them, but whole streets and cities on a larger scale. Sweet dreams.
She looks a bit tricky and twitchy to fly. I would have to add little winglets (like a Poonker) just to fly it, or I'd crash it all the time, I reckon.
@@robambrose4199 To gain lift you need the air to be rising up a slope (Hence the name Slope Soring) and the only slope he has there is from the water level to where he is standing at the start and maybe another 3 to 4ft up onto the grass. That must be a very efficient glider and he must be a very experienced pilot.
The only person who can slope soar off a flat field ..😂😂😂😂 Nice one John
Flying the wing, scraching the pebbles! That's super Mr John!
Thanks for the VDO!Congrats and cheers!

At least you don't have a long climb if you land out!😁
Now THAT is skilled flying, John. Still having problems with your rolls I see, wink wink! 😀
Haha yes, still trying to figure them out!
I think we need a Severn Soarer similar to your beautiful Ocean Breeze.
Ah yes, now there is a good idea…..

John, I believe you can make a brick fly!
Or a Boeing 😂
We would never know about this if it wasn't for the absolutely outstanding camera work.
All the blind guys with their walk along gliders are saying: Hold my beer.
You know the art&style of soaring John! Cheers!
I love my Wildthing.
It’s the nearest thing to a completely indestructible sloper and flies like a good’un.
Cool sticks there John, looked tricky.
😎👍🍻
Just dancing in the wind, that bit of slope was all it needed.
thanks guys 👍💪✌
Wow John, you can fly anywhere!
Thumbs up if this guy has the engaging aero modelling family support we wished we had. #goodonya!woodfield

Now you're just showing off... lol! Very nice. I have tried many times to slope off of flat ground in high wind... lol!
This flight with little inclination is really cool. Show

Is that an SAS "Thing"?

Those small slopes are sooo much fun! 👍
Great to watch thanks. Compliments to the camera person! Laurie. NZ.
Ah, Just noticed it is a "Wildthing"......

Another great vid of a great hobby
Thank you.
👍👍👍👍
I am seroiusly impressed!
Thank you. But it was easier flying there than it looks in the video.
I think you could find lift in a fridge.
Nice one! 😂

こんにちは。とても素敵です。あなたのビデオはとても素敵です😍
Has this got gyros, or are you just telepathic?! I am pretty sure I know what would happen if I tried this 😂
I do it here but prefer a sandy beach 😂
Sure does fly nice
Loving it
Amazing pilot
Thank you!

Now your showing off! How on Earth were you getting ANY lift there????
I'm guessing he's flying into the wind or it would run out of air?

As long as there's enough wind, you don't even need a slope though.
Plan de construction svp?
Es braucht nicht viel um glücklich zu sein🤣
Wildthing all the way
Wow!!!
💕Wow💗💙💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Pretty sure not many people could do that John!
Light weight, high wind plane. Not for the beginner!
