Great vid. Although.. The Dewalt lags were always about 3/4 of an inch higher to start with. It was easier for us viewers to see. lol. So they were actually closer than expected. Cheers!
So…..I got tired of DeWalt not pushing the envelope on performance. I have an 887, and it has not done too bad in the last 5 years, I have actually stalled it out a couple of times on 5/16” GRK style fasteners while building things. It actually overheated about three years ago but it recovered well enough. So Santa got me A gen 4 Milwaukee. I am happy! Have not done anything grandiose with it yet, but I can just detect a greater speed . Your video is very compelling on the 840. But I am still happy Santa brought me the Gen 4. Cannot wait to get in a project with it. Got a couple coming up
The 840 is nice but that gen 4 milwaukee is just simply better so you definitely got a good present, if you do want another dewalt though the new dewalt xr 845 impact driver will be available soon I would recommend checking it out before purchasing another dewalt 👍
You need a timer because one of your hands and and arms are weaker I don't know if the right hand is dominant or the left hand is dominant use a timer do them one at a time
Because they are usually invested in the system. Seems to be good enough is not good enough! Has to be a pissing contest. I have both DeWalt and Milwaukee. That way if there a tool I like, that's also on sale I get it.
I mostly just need a drill or impact for work . I have both Milwaukee and DeWalt battery powered tools. Have a DeWalt corded saws all and Hitachi circular saw.
i want to buy my very first power tool (impact driver) can not decide wich brand to choose (between dewalt and milwaukee) .would you suggest me wich one is better? (more reliable and with more battery lifespan)
If I was going to recommend one between dewalt and milwaukee I would recommend milwaukee I just think reliability is a little better with milwaukee and you have more trade specific tools to choose from
Not for 99.00 with a battery and charger when I bought it. Last year around this time. I have a packout designated for the 840 with 2 5ah and 4 1.7 powerstack batteries. Ive paired up the 840 with the 800 drill bud that is a combo you can't go wrong with that 800 is incredible 👌 👏 🙌 dewalt hit it out of the park with the dcd800 if you get a chance check it out paired with a powerstack its very light like the dcf840 I absolutely 💯% garentee you would absolutely love that lil drill driver brother, I wouldn't lead you wrong bud 😉 👍. Have you tried the dcd800 I highly recommend you do.
I purchased the 840 package at Lowes for 99 dollars. So far I love it.i really didn't know much about it. I mainly bought it because I already had batteries for Dewault. For the price it seems to hold its own against the best pretty well. With that said...Milwaukee is great tools.
Lag drilling is but one factor, battery life and longevity are in my opinion as / more important. I'd like to see a test of equal Ah batteries, and a series of large lag bolts drilled in one after the other until the battery gives up and see how many get drilled in compared to the other. Also this might show a difference in the tool heating up too.
Can’t stand the switch delay on the Milwaukee impact And tbh if you were driving lags all the time you wouldn’t bother with an impact driver you would buy the wrench version
As a major fan of the big 3: Dewalt, Makita & Milwaukee, I loved seeing how the DCF840 was keeping up with the Gen 4 Milwaukee… both are beast drills
Great vid. Although.. The Dewalt lags were always about 3/4 of an inch higher to start with. It was easier for us viewers to see. lol. So they were actually closer than expected. Cheers!

I’d like to know if you experience any issue with it getting too hot ( gen 4 )

How come when dewalt beats Milwaukee you have to do it couple times but when Milwaukee wins they do it only once
Because they are usually invested in the system. Seems to be good enough is not good enough! Has to be a pissing contest. I have both DeWalt and Milwaukee. That way if there a tool I like, that's also on sale I get it.
I have Milwaukee in my garage, but that Dewalt clearly smoked the Milwaukee. 😮
Selling the Kobalt XTR for the Milwaukee G4 18v
I will say the Dewalt is impressive.
I mostly just need a drill or impact for work . I have both Milwaukee and DeWalt battery powered tools. Have a DeWalt corded saws all and Hitachi circular saw.
Dam close with the grk Fastener but you see the major power difference between them with hard task. With that said another awesome video brother 👏
Thanks brother, yea the lags definitely show what's what when it comes to impacts

Put an ho battery in the Milwaukee it will pull away even more
Still love my 840.
Can't go wrong with it

@@TacticalThib you got a nice set up there, and no I haven't tried the 800 I might have to go pick it up and give it a review
@@michaelhunt8486 yea the 840 is an awesome impact definitely worth the buy
Price diffedrence?

That POWER STACK 1.7 Almost keeps up with a 5amp Milwaukee Gen 4 Impact Driver
Yea im excited for the new 5ah powerstack once those come out ill be running some tests with those and see how they compare

I switched from dewalt to Milwaukee not because which one is faster it’s because Milwaukee has a better customer service
They do have excellent customer service
Now do a flex volt!
I'll see what I can do👍
95% performance and 50% the cost.
Try 20V vs High output let see
Price is higher too!
But that thing in speed 3 bro come on 😂
Milwaukee!!!!!!!😊
DeWalt looks faster on reasonably sized screws lol.
Lol yea you really start to see the difference when driving lags
I'll take Dewalt anyday
