    Sounds like 'somebodys' know what they're talking about. I would like to know a little bit more about how all this top end goodness affects the bottom end; ie bearings, seals and rods. Thanx from Chicago. 👍

    Just brilliant guys, you've 'nailed it' again, just enough tech detail to explain the differences, 'pro's and con's', etc. I've just loved the whole series you've done on the R.E. 650 twins.
    Wishing you luck in your racing and riding and looking forward to future episodes.
    I just wish you were located in the UK, but then the weather isn't so good?!!!!!!

    Hello! So i have a doubt... im looking for a new good all around bike, i have an MT03 but for travel with 2 people and luggage is not that great. I really like the INT650, but idk about the quality in like 5+ years. ¿Do you recommend it or its better to try and find another bike with a budget of 8k? Not to mention if i go with the INT650 eventually i will start doing almost all of this mods.
    Thanks for this series btw.

  • @MarccTec
    @MarccTec Месяц назад

    Excellent video! Congratulations! My interceptor has low idle speed, something around 1050 rpm when hot. It was not like this some months ago. TB is clean, new spark plugs NGK CR8E, canister blocked, PAIR valve blocked, crank breather disconnected, air filter cover with intake size increased, sport slip-ons, valves regulation OK. The problem with low rpm started many months after all that mods. Bike runs fine, and everything else is OK. I've regulated the cables stopper screw and bike gone crazy, it just can't hold engine on when hot and when I turn it off and back on. After some seconds it stabilizes. Do you have any idea what could it be? Maybe rectifier? Thank you very much!

    Thank you for explaining Throttle Body function at Micro level. Pick up and throttle of My Interceptor 650 has done down. I get my bike serviced on regular (Change Engine oil @ 7K even though oil last for 10K). Have changed Air Filter with Engine Oil, Oil Filter but still throttle feels really hard and while riding engine doesnt feels running free or bike feels like dragging. Have recheck chain setting, Spokes are retune and wheel balancing is done. Please advise..

    Hello 🤗, hope you're doing good.
    How can one make his 650 twins increase the overall performance,
    Say for an instance bring the 650 to somewhere 800 or a little above and hp of approximately 70 without creating any Hazzard or issues in the engine later on.
    One more question,....... Can we increase the overall performance of the engine in terms of both torque and hp at the same time knowing that both effect the performance of the engine in different ways. Like increased load capacity along with increase pickup and top speed.
    And by the way this is in regard to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 to be precise.
    I liked the videos better than the others.
    Thanks & God bless 🙏
    Anshul.

    Hi there
    I found this video very interesting like all your vids i watch
    Now im really enjoying the look of those thottle bodies and ive discovered Hitchcocks even sell them in the UK !
    My 650 has free flowing filter and full exhaust system with a remap and i guessing a 40mm thottle body would work straight away but another rolling road tune remap would be better?
    Cheers

    • @RevelryCycles
      @RevelryCycles  8 месяцев назад +1

      On a 650 with stock heads, as long as you use your stock injectors, rideability will likely be just fine with your existing tune. Of course you can probably still pull a little more power out of it with a dyno tune.

    • @RevelryCycles

      The throttle stop (on the right side with the nut on it) is a stop to prevent the throttle plates from binding in the bodies. It is NOT an idle control and should not be adjusted.

    Can you cover the use of the air bypass valves? I have cone filters and the startup and idle is pretty poor on cold start. Would your throttle body help with that issue?

    • @RevelryCycles
      @RevelryCycles  2 года назад +1

      I'm guessing by "air bypass valves" you're talking about the canister purge valve. When you remove the stock air box you must plug off the two outer most nipples on the throttle body to stop these from pulling air in front of the throttle plates. If you don't plug them you'll get symptoms similar to what you describe. You can either use automotive vacuum plugs or you can use a male plug the original line before the T fitting.
      Our throttle bodies are "Race Only" and don't have these nipples so it's not an issue with them.

    How do you fix the vacuum leak because some punk miscalibrated the brass throttle stop screw? This has happened on my bike, and I am not having fun. I need some help on this. This can be very valuable information as even the service manual lacks it as those screws are never to be touched, but in my case, they were tinkered with.
    I don't want to replace the whole throttle body for such a small reason. I think you guys can help. My bike is idling poorly, and also, I am facing top end power loss. I can not take the bike beyond 120kmph. It feels the bike engine is going to explode. I think too lean mixture is to blame. I will also check the STFT and LTFT for the same. I need your help to fix my bike. Hope to receive your reply.
