Not sure why people are suddenly acting like games like this shouldnt exist. Something like Journey on PS4 is much shorter, has less mechanical depth, it literally just has two input buttons, but it is (rightfully) heralded as a masterpiece experience. Now all of a sudden people wanna act brand new to the genre. Hellblade 2 was a cerebral, surreal experience I wont forget anytime soon!
I could not care less about what people think of Journey or any other game for that matter. The Hellblade series are fenomenal in terms of visuals but when it comes to gameplay, they are very poor and that's why a lot of people despise it, especially considering that Hellblade 2 costs 50€ and is very short.
You wabt 'realistic fight"? Go to war, there's plenty all over the world. This is fuckin game, you suppose to play it, not suffering. Even in soulslike games you can hit the boss at least once. Here - not a single time. You dodge, you dodhe, anyway he gets you, and again and again. Even on "easy combat mod".

These are men you are fighting, not creatures of the mind, not mythically symbolized Northmen, not gods, just men. Chris O'Reilly's performance was so badass here!! Can't believe the guy's not an actor after all, cuz he mostly does stuns. He needs to be in movies more! He's def my 2nd fav character here in Senua's Saga. Such a shame he's so underrated.
I swear this dude's character development I didn't think I end up liking him as I did I just thought he was some slaver dude senua was gonna gutt at some point but it never was the case
Dude same. I was ready for Senua and Thorgester to have a final showdown near the end honestly, but I'm glad he had a change of heart. Really liked his character and design over all too

When facing the Northmen..that Snippet of the steady drums and chant, it really…really fires me up as well with dread and awareness towards my enemy who’s taunting in Old Norse (as I hear and wherever In Northern Scandinavia they’re from). Plus It’s a first time to hear the Northmen speak incase anybody notices, ever!🇮🇸🇩🇰🇸🇪🇳🇴
I don’t regret turning to the dark side. My buddy convinced me with Xbox game pass after I was groaning about the waste of money PlayStation plus was. I’ve played the hell out of Hellblade
Really hope the devs get to add more to the game. Xbox really shafted them by not marketing the game and despite this game being short even for its price you can feel that the team was putting their all into this game.
Bro they marketed this game just how they marketed other games by Microsoft. The market it just game the same exact way they did with Halo and Gears of war and Forza for that matter. In fact they give Forza the most marketing potential in hardly market that. This game was marketed more than hellblade 1

Think about Gears of war 5, Halo infinite was the same exact way how hellblade got marketed maybe a tad bit stronger but you didn't see it much places, look at one of their great games State of decay 3. That game is literally going to get promoted the same exact way hellblade did. The only game that they push out a lot for some reason is indeed Forza. And that's a fact. They push that game every where. Starfield got a little bit of a push but it wasn't much and then finally you have Fable, literally the same exact thing as hellblade. I personally knew all about hell blade to be honest and also I didn't even have part 1. Actually bought part one and part two at the same time. But I knew all about both of them. But it isn't about me I'm only mentioning me cuz you mentioned you lol. That's just how Microsoft promotes and markets their games. The only game day promoted a lot were games when Microsoft first came out like Halo 1 2 and 3 and Gears 1 and 2 NFL fever stuff like that

Because at this point even if I got to play by myself I rather build with the actual character that I'm playing instead of have a repetitive game with hackers and all types of crazy stuff. This game brought me back to my roots when I used to play games like final fantasy 7 and enjoy the game for what it really was. The sound design and everything called me in so much where you start to actually feel different playing the actual game. It's crazy. Man but I'm going to be honest if you never play part 1. I promise you are missing oh lol. I didn't get that deep in the part two yet. Got right past the ritual part. But yeah whatever her saga is, I'm gonna be a part of it
The part where she grab her own blade when stabbing near he's neck is kinda silly 0:50 sec. No other game or even in real life a person would grab a blade since it would cut off her finger
It’s called half-swording. And medieval knights did use this technique. Theres also videos of people half swording bare handed without even hurting themselves.
Nothing can beat this,, the fluid animations, in combat graphics and all everything is so beautifully done, literally 99.9% perfect, I saw GTA6 trailer and it still can't compare to the graphics of hellblade 2, it's insane if an actual AAA studio created graphics like this in an open world game
Dude does 4 very telegraphed swings over and over again, followed by scripted sequence. While visually impressive it's nothing to brag about. Those whispers in Senua's (head?) are driving me nuts, it's like someone is constantly trying to backseat. Makes it really difficult to focus on what's going on.

Yes, it's honestly beautiful. I love the village invasion and at one point in the battle he will ask if you're okay
