  • UPDATE*** I now have a part 2 to this video if you want to turn this project into a Gnome!!! Here is the link: • DIY: MACRAME GNOME | H...
In today's tutorial we will be making a macrame Christmas tree. It's pretty simple to make as you only have to know one macrame knot, the Square Knot, so I would say this is great beginners project.
For the one I made in the video I added wooden beads, this is optional, as is the tassel at the bottom, so please feel free to get creative and make this exactly how you would like it.
If you are new to macrame or need extra help with basic knots, please see this video before you begin any projects: • HOW TO: 7 MUST KNOW Ma...
Here is a link for supplies: www.etsy.com/c...
    MEASUREMENTS:
    HEIGHT: 7.5inches/19cm (without the hanger)
    WIDTH: 4inches/10cm
    HERE IS WHAT I USED:
    - 4mm, single ply cotton cut to the following lengths:
    - 2 x 15feet/450cm
    - 10 x 6inches/15cm
    - Knitting needle (any size will work just fine!)
    - 30inches/76cm of 1mm string
    - 2 wooden beads, .75inches/2cm and 1inch/2.5cm wide. (I DO NOT HAVE A LINK FOR THE BEADS)
    - Fabric glue (optional)

This was my first macrame project ever. It does not look like this at all but I'll keep trying and I'm excited! I think I didn't squeeze enough my square knots so it's kind of wobbly haha.
