I have to say that out of all my equipment (quite a lot) One of my Drum modules is a Dr 670 which wipes the floor with the 909. Although it cannot pitch, the sounds in the Dr 670 make the 909 so ovverated that's why I would never buy one. I have lots of other Modules with Drums and Drum Machines, Samplers, Synths all hardware no software. Each and every Track I construct is made from a ticking empty metronome recorded straight to studio no laptops or computer screen to guide my productions. Let me give you my opinion on the 909 Ovverated. Great jam by the way
@@kingjellybeans7823 It's great that you have found a method which works for you. I guess this comes from a lot of trial and error and also thinking out of the box. I think that the more you get into something you more you discover and by the sounds of it you have delved quite deeply. Best of luck in you musical endeavours.
I had tons of analog classics back in the day (1998-2003). Helps when you live at home (rent free) and spend every dollar from work on studio gear. Now all I spend my money on is rent. No more fun toys. Life’s tough. Sucks growing up.
@VincentsVideoVisions I guess it's just the pleasure of owning something a bit special. And after drooling for one since 1995, having the money on hand and seeing one in the local ads a couple of years ago ("only" paid $1500 for the 303 AND the 606 together), I just HAD to get it. But I see what you're saying.. It's kinda stupid when you think about the money. It's just the feeling of the 303 that I can't replace:) Not about beeing cool or anything. (The same can be said about my 909.. )
@VincentsVideoVisions But it's not as cool as having the real deal. A piece of electronic music history :) Lookin to add a x0xb0x to the setup though... Can't afford another 303..hehe
@carlimsakoo I do hate you though, I have an old Moog Prodigy.....& that is it!!! I used to have a SH101, but the 'Frequency' slider died!!!! Got what I paid, & a bit more!!! Basically, what I paid for the 101, the Moog cost me £15!!!!! But, I sit on my laurels, as I do not have anything else!! I'd give my right willy 4 a TB303!!! LOL! ATB, Bud!
@carlimsakoo Yeah, I can see that. $1,500 for the pair was a good deal given their going rates. If I had the cash, I would have scooped them up too. I'd sooner keep a 909 than a 303 though. The closest 909 clone (Jomox XBase 999) costs basically the same as an original, although I don't like its interface as much. There definitely is something special in owning a 303, but yeah... I'd sell it for sure. Then again I'm kind of a broke ass and always thinking about "bang for my buck."
@carlimsakoo Well, do you care about "cool" factor or usability? The x0xb0x sounds basically identical to a 303 and has many more features. I realize that the 303 is a legendary piece of gear and I wanted one for years, but now that x0xb0x exists, I no longer care! I'm not slamming you for owning a 303 by any means... that's cool... I'm just saying that if I were you, I'd sell it and buy 2 x0xb0xes and have money left over!
Yes it is monotonous. You are using the same one bar acid loop for ten whole minutes. Twiddling resonance and cutoff etc. for the same one bar loop for ten minutes does not hide the fact that it's the same loop, over and over and over again.
Will be nice to hear your songs. If you don't like one bar loops, then go and listen some full-on or EDM tracks and enjoy seeing the "dj" waving it's hands while the CD Desck is playing "his" the track (composed by a shadow producer btw)
bam bam! I'm sure @carlimsaco is still enjoying his gear. It's great to make your own sounds, instead of just listening other people's sounds, and complain just because not everybody is A Guy Called Gerarld or Richie Hawtin.
I don't understand why some people complain even after reading the description, I enjoyed this video, thank you , cheers :)
Don't know where you are but the WORLD needs your musics. :)
Nice track, miss jamming with my 909, 303 and 606!!

hehe yup :)

Hehe don't have a couch in there I'm afraid.. :)
Thats pretty good for something awesome. This is like a poor mans setup, I made the same setup out of a few shoeboxes and some rubberbands. LOL
The sad thing is I really don't...worked overtime to pay for it all ;)
it s all
hehe :)
get a 606. it will be one of the best things you have ever done for yourself.

i wish i could get just a 606... this new korg volca beats will be crap in comparison :/
For the price of a 303 these days I could buy 2-3 x0xb0xes easily... just sayin'. :P

I am still struggling to make a whole bar loop. I once got all the way to 3 quarter notes but mostly I only make it to just 2. :(
Yet someone else with s much quality equipment, and absolutely no MUSICAL Talent..
Thanks :)
