It's like entering a bar, you time it, wait for the right set, and surf it in. As the wave pushes faster than the boat, the natural tendency is for the boat to carve and turn broadside, as it does, the next wave usually punches it back on course. I've done it a few times, Jake did it exactly how he should have, he wasn't even close to danger.

Jake turned out to be one hell of a great captain
We had to do the same thing with some engine parts for another boat in our fleet. We used a bunch of trash bags to keep them dry, tied up the bundle and heaved it over the side with a few buoys lashed to it, we motored on and left them to fish it out.

A computer to find crabs? Captain Phil followed crab farts and everyone laughed at that notion. Turns out he was the only brilliant crab boat Captain. Beside Forest Gump. Thats my boat.
Not to find crab but to find your gear. Everyone uses one to plot on, weather updates, etc. Phil used one on the CM.

It's because of his plotting program. It probably has 15 years worth of info on it and you can't just transfer it. Everywhere that boat has gone and everywhere that boat has fished shows up on the program.

I've been watching this ongoing series, since it's so called birth. Every boat gives 💯 percent. But since it's birth(on television), I've grown up with my guy (Jake). From the BIGinning, we could tell he had the heart and guts.

Jake needs to be careful to get into Dutch or into Saint Paul you have to go through the breakwater at high tide if you miss it or get into a storm you can get beached on the rocks. When Elliot was captain of the Saga Arctic Hunter went out when it was ripping and the next thing that happened was Coast Guard was the radio and Arctic Hunter issued a Hong Kong distress call they beached themselves on the rocks outside of Dutch. Elliot who just offloaded had to go out there and rescue them it was ripping so bad that he barely got the Arctic Hunter crew off their boat and back to Dutch. Arctic Hunter remained on the rocks for two more days before it finally sank torn to shreds by the rocks.
